In spite of the referendum result we are still in the EU at present. The EU GB marker on number plates would still be valid under EU agreement until such time as the Leave negotiations are complete. You will then need a GB sticker unless the acceptance
of the existing system forms part of the leave agreement, or divorce settlement.I notice that many die hard Leave voters are already changing their EU numberplates for plain ones, judging by the number of shiny new plates I have seen over the past few days. If you do this you will need a GB sticker.
Now, if Scotland leave the UK they wil no longer fall under the GB regime, so will need a new International Identifier and a fresh agreement with the EU............

UK law regarding licence plate design would have to be amended before the requirements change and that could take a lot longer than after negotiations are completed. Until then EU style plate will remain valid even after the UK has formally left the EU.

I bet there is going to be good sales of " I voted to stay" stickers for UK cars/c/vans/&M/vans for anyone going "over there" to discourage any "anti"problems
There are a lot of offers of 'I voted Remain' stickers available on
ebay with a few 'I voted leave'.0 -
We have never in 17yrs had a GB sticker on car we have it stuck just inside the boot.

We have never had a GB sticker on our car or caravan. I read somewhere that you should display your country of origin so we have always proudly displayed Cym/Wales/Pays de Galles without any problems or dispute and will continue to do so. In fact the badge
has been an object of much curiosity and has lead to many a shared bottle of wine.0 -
You can put anything you like on your outfit, you don't need to follow any of the "minor" rules and regs, but they are there all the same. The length of time you havn't followed the regs does not mean they have gone away. I have been to France with only two florescent vest, when I should have had 5 in the car(one per seat) and was in Spain with an outfit over 12 mtrs long and no tail boards. The contries of the EU have these regs and they are not going away wether we are "in" or "out" I think weejock was just winding you all up with a weejoke and a good one at that!

I have been stopped for speeding with a caravan, it was in Switzerland, not France but the same applies there. I just paid my fine by Visa on the spot and added the cost to the fuel account!! The police, there were 12 of them, inspected the car/ caravan and documents, which were all OK, because I do follow the rules(exept for speeding, 50mph is just too slow for my car) others who were also stopped had to pay for bad tyers on the car and somthing wrong on the caravan, one young German couple in a old motorhome had a hughe fine as there were lots wrong and they had no vinnget. I was just pointing out to all the people who say they never do this, or carry that, it's fine untill your are stopped.
