Sites near Roscoff

Those of you who do the Plymouth/Roscoff crossing may know that Brittany Ferries overnight parking area for caravans is on the way out of the terminal and on on a hill.  The last time we spent a night there we almost rolled out of bed.  Our crossing at the
end of August will arrive at 21.30 and I am wondering if we can find a site open in the late evening rather than sleeping on the slope.  The ideal site would be one where there is no barrier so that we can drive in quietly even if it has gone 22.00.  Has anyone
found somewhere sutiable?

The municipal site at Plougoulm village, Camping Le Bois de la Palud is open access with no barrier in the way you describe - until it closes on 4.9.2016. Just drive directly ahead from the entrance and pitch in the big meadow. See the warden in the morning when she arrives.

Or alternatively let the owner at Camping Trologot at St Pol de Leon know that you are arriving late and she will wait up to let you in to that site.

Camping Ar Kleguer at St Pol de Leon has a late night arrivals area outside the barrier.

Camping Trologot is about 15 mins from port, there is late arrivals and early departures area outside the gate.

The madam who runs the site is a lovely lady, we have been visiting for years on way home from Roscoff.

Would second the recommendation for Trologot. Stayed quite a few times, the last stay was last night! Now on Pont Aven on way home but not sure what is latest arrival time.
