Towing mirrors in spain
Hello,
Can anyone tell me if towing mirrors are compulsory in spain

Even if it isn't a legal requirement it makes sense to use them. Do you use them in this country (where it is apparently compulsory if your caravan is wider than the towing vehicle)? They should be compulsory everywhere. How else can you see to overtake/manouevre safely especially when you're driving on the wrong side of the road?
Here is some more information about Driving in Spain

Quite agree Val,I forgot to put them on on one trip ,and thought it is only a short journey so did not stop to put them on ,the field of vision was so much less,i have not done it since, and we have a 4x4 which is wider than our last vehicle,it is as said on hgvs if you cannot see my mirrors i cannot see you,

I doubt towing mirrors are a legal requirement anywhere, what is legally required is that the driver has a view to the rear. It really frustrates me when I often see locally, HGV transporters for the large static caravans travelling without any mirrors for that purpose especially when they have a very wide load and take up the whole dual carriageway. You will probably have missed the low slung mirrors that the drivers use. Believe me no self respecting hgv driver will drive without proper vision.
