Czech Republic Sites
Hi, towing my van from Guildford to Kotesova in Western Slovakia in a few weeks, using the E50 from Reims via Saarbrucken, Mannheim, Nurnberg and Prague. then Brno and Trencin.
Has anyone used any of the sites around Prague mentioned in the CC site guide, and give any recommendations.
Any other route advice or site recommendations you may have gratefully received.
We tow regularly down to Southern Spain via France but this is our first Eastern Europe tip.
Regards
DavidH

Oase Prague, the CC site, was an excellent site when we were there in 2008 and there have been many good reports since. Good facilities, good restaurant, good pitches, friendly helpful owner. Bus outside the campsite to take you to tram terminus for trams into city.
The only other site we have stayed in in Czech Republic was in the far east, Eurocamping Bojkovice, between Brno and Trencin. Based on our stay (2008) we would not recommend. It was more like a scout camp, with open communal showers, campfires and no marked pitches. However looking at their website now it looks as if they have been working hard to improve it. One amusing memory was the owner talking about his stay in England many years previously. Where did he stay? The Issly of Viggut. We finaly deciphered this as the Isle of Wight!

Last year we stayed at Camp Matyas just south of Prague. Lovely family that run this campsite. Good facilities and plenty of room. 30 minutes from Prague by train. Nice cafe and English spoken

Good small site here just off the Prague ring road to the east.
