Germany - To go or not to go

We've been planning a trip to southern  Germany,  and had hoped to be leaving at the end of this week.  Can anyone tell us what the weather and state of the campsites are like after the dreadful as storms?  Should we go or should we postpone the trip?

Have a look in the Overseas section. There may well be something there.

23.15 pm on 05/06/2015.  This post doesn't yet appear in the Overseas section.  Hopefully this is just a glitch and someone will come along with some advice.

From posts on other forums it doesn't appear that the problems are as great as portrayed in the press.

We were in Bavaria a few days ago and now back in Austria. Anywhere there are mountains the weather can be mixed. We have had rain on quite a few days but rarely all day. For some reason you often get rain at night, perhaps something to do with cooling temperatures?
Fortunately we have not come across the devastating floods that were in the news. We have travelled slowly from Vienna and are now in Imst. Looking at the weather across Europe its difficult to find anywhere across central Europe that is cloud free. Hope you
    enjoy your holiday.

We should be off in three weeks time.  We're starting in the Mosel valley, which does sometimes get flooded - I think it's OK at the moment though.

I'm checking the camping websites at the moment, with the hope that if things turn nasty, they will put up some sort of warning.

We drove from Fussen to Trittenheim on the Mosel yesterday. Regular downpours and a couple of thunderstorms on route but no evidence of major flooding and the campsite by the side of the river is fine. The river water is flowing fast and there's little river
traffic but the roads are fine. Sun all day and 30 degrees C at the moment.

David K. We were in Imst on Friday (Imst West). Hotel Neuner, a short walk from the campsite has one of the best restaurants in Austria. Side salads and mains to die for. Hope you enjoy Imst.

We arrived on Saturday. Unfortunately a bit late for your recommendation as Margaret is busy chopping mushrooms as I write!!!! Nice little site and excellent toilet blocks. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the WiF!!! We are moving into Germany tomorrow.

Just returned from Rhine and Mosel.Weather much improved and was warm and sunny yesterday. Rivers high but now going down. Unless you are planning to camp right at the rivers edge no reason not to go.
