Zaragoza Camping - unfair comments

There are so many rubbish reviews of this site, and the reality is much better. For example, on arrival the reception spoke excellent English. At a later visit a different young lady also spoke excellent English. Walk out the front
gate and across the zebra crossings and a piece of land (admittedly unkempt) and you are at a communal area with at least 8 cafe/bars and 4 restaurants. This is also where the bus goes into the centre of Zaragoza every 15 mins for 1.35 Euros - so convenient.
The facilities are very good - toilet rolls, toilet seats and lots of hot water. As for the price, it is about the same as you would pay in a Caravan Club site. People should stop making vacuous complaints and start enjoying yourselves.

Where is the review Noah? I can probably add to your comments because I have stayed there several times since it opened. It is a very convenient night stop on a toll free but fast route between Pau and Valencia.

Don't forget it is a municipal site and is part of a public park but it appears to be well controlled. We use it every time we cross Spain, the last time was in early May. Its a bit pricey but its ok for a night stop and the new Auchan hypermarket is just
a little further along the road into Zaragoza at the next Roundabout.

Sounds as though it went downhill and has now recovered since I was last there.

Do people trust Trip Advisor reviews of campsites? I ask because if we had taken any notice of one of there reviews on a campsite in the South of France I would have missed a delightful little site. I sometimes think its too easy to plant reviews both good
    and bad?

I always treat Trip Advisor with caution and like a second opinion. It described the site I am now on as " the worst site in Spain ", but another forum gave it a good write-up. It is your average Spanish site, been on better been on worse.

I check ACSI, ukcampsites, and trip advisor reviews of a site and would never believe just one that was different to the rest. In fact we have just stayed on a site where the site owner was slated in one review as a killjoy and nasty piece of work. Actually
we found him very affable and friendly with a dry sense of humour but he wouldn't let one caravaner upset all the others with his noise. Hence the bad review. When reading a review you have to take into account that different people want different things from
    a site.

Zaragoza was fine when we stayed there last September,  we were a bit apprehensive given reports but it was fine. Showers were good and clean, plenty of hot water, pitches good size and h/s the only thing was the price noe 29€ a night but 6€ of that is for
electric, so if you don't need it say so at book in.

Write your comments here...I don't trust the reviews on Ukcampsites anymore. I tried to do a review last year of a site that was overall ok but for us there was a couple of negatives.  The review was rejected.

I have heard of others being rejected too unless it's a good review.

With any review one needs to look behind the words.  Many people give a bad review because the did not enjoy their visit, even though the site itself was fine.  Some give a rave review of a rubbish site because they enjoyed their holiday in spite of the
    site.

I have looked at UK Campsite reviews of Zaragoza. one reviewer, with 6 reviews under their belt, gives it only three stars, simply because on a cold June night the pool and restaurant were not opened yet they were charged high season rates.  They say that
the pitches were good, the toilets were very good and there was a good restaurant over the road.  The review before that from a reviewer with 142 reviews, gives it 7 stars and a far more objective review,  In fact now I look at the name I know that the latter
reviewer has been back to this site several times (a vested interest, I am married to her).

Far to many people review a site on the basis of their enjoyment.  we all enjoy different things.  The review should be factual and objective.
