Hi all,

I have read that in France i may need an extra Hook up Cable on some sites. Is this true, my cable is already 25 meters long.

There are some sites where you need an extra long cable, but generally we have found that such sites will loan you the extra cable you need - usually free, sometimes with a very small charge.

We've found that some sites have been a bit of a stretch to the electric point, but probably no worse than some places in the UK.

We've never had a problem with our 25 metre cable.

Been travelling to France for 30 years and never needed more than 25 m. Always check nearest electric and water when choosing a pitch.

We have had the odd ocassion in France,  and other countries, where we have needed an extra cable. I always carry an extra cable. We actually had to use it a few weeks ago in Neckargemund.

I am now on a site in the Vendee and have had to use a second cable. The site will loan out cables as required.

In my experience the need for a second cable is rare but it does happen occasionally, so I always carry a spare.

    Hi.

We stayed on a Yelloh site on the coast and we only had a 25m cable, which caused a lot of problems as the site didn't have one for us to buy or loan. We always carry a 2nd cable with us now. Still love touring in France though !!!!
