Have a good holiday VonRyan - you may be like us and be still going back to France every year, after thirty-five years!

    Hi

Anyone travelling down the East of France at the moment. We travel from Calais to Reims and then Strasbourg next Wednesday 16th June. It would be good to know the fuel availability along the A26

    Thanks

Write your comments here...You'll be following us then as we leave Tuesday morning, it's the damned weather i'm more concerned about now as there seems to be thunderstorms all over central Europe lately, oh and of course the potential strikes penciled in for the 14th.

No fuel problems between channel ports and Strasbourg.

Saturday lots of rain, Sunday some sun, but Monday back to the rain. At Camping Indigo where some pitches are very wet.

We are near Rouen, poured down most of the day on Sunday, showers yesterday and looks like more of the same today.

Not much can be done in the rain especially with a little dog.

Same here in Scotland so you won't feel as bad. On the ferry on Saturday Portsmouth to Caen then onto St Augustin near Royan on the west coast

Haven't seen any problems getting fuel, we are in Limoges at the moment but drove up from Spain last Thursday to Moissac, didn't see any problems there either other than it is a bit dearer.

Weatherwise its not good over most of France for the next few days,  yesterday was awful never seen so much heavy rain lasting for as long. From speaking to others some sites are in a bad way while others fair better. I would think the sites on the med are
the best but will be very busy.

We came off the A26 at St.Quentin and found a hypermarket for fuel and all ok and the price was €1.12, also filled up again at a hypermarket as we always do at St.Die and again no problems and the same price €1.12 for diesel. On a different note weather
very wet and currently at a site on the edge of Lake Lucerne where it's chucking it down.

We've come up from San Sebastián via St Emilion yesterday & near La Roche sur Yon tonight, filled up in Libourne (Carrefour) & La Roche sur Yon (Leclerc) with no problems whatsoever. €1.09/litre for diesel  Petrol & diesel was available at every garage we
passed. Weather has been warm & fairly sunny both days, although heavy rain overnight last night. Currently clear skies and sunny (20:30hrs)

We fuelled up at Palavas-les-Flots on Thursday no problems.  Passed a number of garages along the way which all seemed to be business as usual.

And just to help people find the cheapest fuel, after they land, on their journey, and at their destination, Here
is the 'French Government fuel prices'.  Prices are now around 1.08 for the cheapest diesel (usually supermarkets) and 1.29 for unleaded - and of course upwards from there
depending on where you buy..  However, if you're heading to Deux Sevres, (Department 79 on the map) you find prices cheaper starting at 1.05 and 1.27.
