We like the look of this site - is there access to the swimming pool for disabled visitors?    Also, any need to book in June?  Thanks

It's an excellent site, and we've booked our pitch for September. It's a terraced site and as we recall the access to the pool is via steps. Why not give the site a ring +33 (0) 4 94 55 10 30 - the family speak excellent English. There's a mini market on site and a new (last season) restaurant. From June to August there's a free bus to the village and the beach. The nearest Spar shop is at the bottom of a moderately steep hill by the main road.

You've probably already looked at the website.

    Here's Cath in the pool!

We would say three steps to the swimming pool. Will check out our photo's! There are steps on site but most would be avoidable with a bit of a detour. Lovely site and area visiting twice this year!

I'd probably book in June, we have for May/June and also for September, site was full for much of September last year. Booking can be a little random though! When we were there in September all those who booked got a pitch but not necessarily the pitch that they
had booked. All part of the charm! Will be arriving two weeks today, can't wait!

Thanks for the info.  I can manage a few steps with assistance from OH so I think we'll go for it and ring them up to book.  I've got a mobility scooter so can manage hilly bits round the area.

We're concerned that the area around the campsite might be too hilly even for a scooter. The village is about a mile and a half away up a long pavementless road. ( there's also a via verde footpath through the vineyards). The beach is also about a mile away down the hill, and then a flat paved access to the small promenade.

The free bus service to beach and village stops about 100 yds from the site, just up the hill and around the corner. They are 'coaches' with access steps - we can't recall seeing any wheelchair access.

It's a lovely site, but we felt bound to advise you of our concern. An alternative but busy site you might want to consider is Camping de la Baie at Cavalaire sur Mer

Thanks Chas, de la Baie is also on my list so maybe we'll go there.

Personally, if I was using a mobility scooter, I would choose Camping de la Baie over Selection.  Although parts of the site are on steep terraces, there is also plenty of level space, you're within 'walking' distance of the harbour and the town, and the area around the site is much more level than around Selection Camping.

I can't give you any guidance over level access to the pool, because at the time it wasn't something that concerned us - but I'm sure they would help if you emailed them.

Unfortunately neither of them are on Camping Street View - where you can have a guided tour around the site, checking out access to sanitary blocks, swimming pools, etc.  But it may be worth looking at other sites in the area just in case you don't find the facilities you want.

Camping de la baie's website states that there is disabled access to the campsite's facilities. As Valda says, there is easy level access to the town, port, beach and promenade. You will have to book and there could be a booking fee depending on when you
    go.

Thanks again for all info - very helpful.  Its quite difficult to find out this kind of small detail - steps, hills, availability of pavements etc. despite much research and many years of travelling with van/motorhome
