For anyone travelling this way or those who have used the site in the past. The site now has new san facs, we have been here a number of days and they are just putting the finishing touches to the blocks, all new showers, sinks and toilets very nice too,
red quartz marble worktops around the sinks, showers have a fixed rainforrest type head set into the ceiling, lots of lovely hot water and good pressure. Wifi is good and free throughout the site. We are even picking up some english channels on our 85cm sat
dish using freesat. Pitches are a good size all grass and now the weather is picking up they are good and firm. Nice little restaurant/bar on site and a small shop. Lovely helpful english speaking owners. Easy cycle into town along river or get bus from just
outside the campsite on main road.

Hi TG, glad to know this. We stayed at the other ACSI site last time and had issues with a lot of pollen off the trees that covered like snow, which is obviously seasonal, but what is it like there now? We thought we would try this site next time & understood
the cycle path is alongside the river right from the site into Salamanca, is that correct. Regards, Roy

Hi Tammygirl.  I've often read other threads where sans facs are mentioned but having looked it up I can't find a definition. Nor have I seen the words on a sign on French or Spanish sites. Is it simply 'toilet block'?

Write your comments here...Yes Roy, the path goes all the way into Salamanca, then you pick up th Green route which will take you all over the city. It is a lovely place especially the old town, as its a Univercity town it has lots of young people about. Lots of cafes/restaurants and loads of supermarkets, I think I have seen 6 Mercadona, 2 Lidl, an Aldi a huge LeClerc and Carrefour. There is a Mercadona on the way into Salamanca from the campsite too far to walk but handy for supplies on arriving or leaving as you can park alongside the road with a M/H. Driving around town isn't bad and could also be done with a M/H to the big stores.

Weather is good at the moment and due to get hotter next week around 28c by the end of the week here.

Sorry Tony, Sanfacs is just short for Sanitary Facilities, it usually includes showers, sinks, toilets etc. this site has 2 blocks one for showers, sinks and toilets, then a seperate block for dishwashing and laundry, there is also disabled facilities seperate,
a good drive over M/H point and next to that a small builing that has the chemi loo point.

Thanks TG for that confirmation. I shall try it next time we visit. Last time there was a book fair covering all of the Plaza Mayor which meant you could not see it properly, which was the main purpose of our visit, so it cost me an expensive fan with a
painting of the plaza on it and the promise of a return visit one day. Regards, Roy
