Portsmouth early ferry

We need to check in about 6am for the ferry to Bilbao and since we live 150 miles from Portsmouth, we'll need to travel the night before. Anyone know a site close to the port where we could depart by 5ish am, or is there a holding area in the port where
we could park up for the night.

On our way home last year we parked up in the departure lanes in Caen,I would assume Portsmouth would do the same, check the britany ferries web site

You don't have to check in at 6 a.m.

We're booked with Brittany Ferries 8.15am ferry to Ouistreham early June. We've done this crossing before, and as usual we've booked the Club site at Rookesbury Park for the night before. They have "ferry pitches" near the site entrance so as not to disturb
people getting up at a more civilised hour. I assume you're travelling with pets, otherwise the check in time is nowhere near as early as 6am. Bonus is, no traffic at that early hour, well, not very much!

    Have a great trip.

There is no problem parking up at Portsmouth Docks, I have often overnighted there!
