Has anyone looked into arriving from the 2130 Ferry from Portsmouth i.e. whether they will accept arrivals as the former municipial owners used to and if not any alternatives found?

They've accepted a booking from us with the late arrival noted in the comments space, similarly for the early ferry coming back.

If you use the on line booking form on their website, note the flag in the top right hand corner which you can use to change the language. We missed it first time round, so our outward booking confirmation is in French and the return one is in English!

I e-mailed them and was assured that they would be open.

Thanks for your replies I was hoping this one would continue now that Hautes Coutures has new management choices are more limited

Update on Haute Couture. I emailed them a couple of weeks ago and they bconfirmed that they will still accept arrival from the 21.30 Caen ferry from Portsmouth.

If no one is around, look on the notice board outside reception. There will be an envelope with your name on it.....inside will be the code for the entrance barrier, a site map and your pitch number.

Worked for us last year and no reason to think that this year will be any different.

    We have booked.

Thank you for that comment, but a lot of the reviews and scores of Camping Les Hautes Coutures on UKCampsite and Trip Advisor are very critical. I think they are worth reading by anyone going there.

ET, I've just looked at UKCampsite reviews the unfavourable posts were from 2011/2012. We stayed on this site having left Les Pommiers in total disgust in 2014. I would much prefer to stay at Les Hautes Coutures. They have now I believe been taken over by
Yelloh village so I think/hope standards are good, not that we had any complaints in 2014. Hopefully we will be using this site again later on this trip.

Just a bit of info. This site has just teamed up with ACSI. No info on arrival but ask when booking in. It's  €17 per night. We just found out after the women in front of us asked.

They now give you the gate code so you can leave at what time you want rather than wait for the gates to be opened. We decided, arriving at 9.30 and wanting to leave at seven, to do without electricity and it cost E17 so if they are now with ACSI E17 will
    give you electricity as well.

Just realised Longtimecaravaner is refering to Hautes Coutures I think. We are booked with Bella Riva

Thanks for that but not sure why my ACSI does not show them as members having just updated it but no worries enjoy the summer wherever you are off too.
