If it's for a family with older children you might want one of the big sites right in Carnac itself with entertainments and discos, but if it's just for a couple of you then you might prefer one of the less frenetic sites a little way back from the sea. We stay at a clean and simple parkland site at Ste Anne d'Auray about 15 miles away, but that might not suit you at all.
I don't know what sort of site you want but you might like to start with the reviews on UKCampsite.co.uk and see what suits you. I hope that helps.

Bit of an open question, but I will try my best.
We are currently on a full-service pitch in an ACSI site at Le Conleau near Vannes. We have been to this ex-municipal site before and it is brilliant. We re-visited Carnac yesterday which was a very easy half hour drive away. You should take one of the mini-trains
that will show you more than just the alignments. eg: Churchill islandThe advantage of Vannes is that it is central to many other very interesting places such as the submarine pens at L'Orient, etc, etc.
Vannes itself is a wonderful place to visit, especially if you are interested in history. You should try to find M. Vannes et sa Femme. Of course, the whole of the Morbihan coast is very close, which is an exprience in itself. (Having just read this, I sound
like a travel brochure. Sorry.)Another place you might like to visit is the isthmus of Quiberon. In July it might be quite busy, but well worth the visit.
Hope this helps.
