That's it, we're off!

The van is packed and we're ready to go.  Drive down to Newcastle and catch the boat to Ijmuiden and then we'll see where we end up.

After agnoising over maps and guides, the boss pointed out that we had never worried about routes or sites before - we just went.   We're not exactly Luddites, but we've got no SatNav, smart phone, internet and definitely no TV.  We're heading off with only
the ferry crossing booked and a faint idea of where we will go. A bit of adventure - that's what it's all about.

Back in a few weeks and I'll tell you where we've been.  Maybe even a photo or two.

Enjoy! we are off in a week, going Portsmouth - Santander, always said I wouldn't do this route but OH has persuaded me its a good idea (still not sure) like you we get off the boat then head off into the unknown. Vague idea, but who knows, if the weather
is good might not get to where we are thinking. All part of the fun of camping. Have fun.

Write your comments here... Of course with a sat nav you need to know where you are going for it to work, so no need for you to have one lol

Have a great time. I have to admit, we have once or twice decided on the ferry or train which way we are going to turn when we get off the transport on the other side. It's fun.
