Corfu

This might seem really odd, and I apologise if it is.  Has anyone on the forum ever taken their caravan/motor home to Corfu? If so how long did it take and how did you do it? The reason I am asking is that I have a sister that lives there and apparently,
there is a campsite virtually next door to her. I would like to visit but not impose.

There are 3 ferry routes to Corfu, from Venice, Bari and Brindisi.

Obviously Venice is the closest to UK but more expensive as your at sea longer.

Have to say I have never seen any caravans being towed on Corfu, only motorhomes.

Fabulous island, been there many, many times and the other Ionion Islands. Why would you want to take your own caravavan or motorhome with you?.The cost would outway the benefit. Would suggest you research your trip before you make decision.

Write your comments here...Watch the Durrell drama tonight on TV. I think you will find it features Corfu a lot as that is where the Durrells took their family holidays.

I too love Corfu, the idea is to combine a European trip with seeing big sis who lives there. I will research; I am very very lucky in the respect that I can take a good 3-4 weeks off work so to travel down there is a real option for us. As Dave says, it
is not about the dosh, it is about the adventure (as long as the bloody boat doesn't sink )
