I am planning to go over the Oberalp pass between Zermatt and Disentis this summer. the Caravan Club lists is as" not recommended for caravans". has anyone been over it recently? I am towing using a volvo CX90.

I usually trust the CC on Alpine passes, but having just watched an 11 minute video on You tube it doesn't look a fearsome road at all, some big sweeping hairpin bends for sure,  but a dotted white in the middle of the road  and wide enough for two way traffic all he way which is always a help. See what you think.

But your problem is the Furka pass comes first before the Oberalp and that's a different kettle of fish.

Thanks eurortraveller. the Furkapass is not part of my itinerary tkank goodness, it's described as one of the most dangerous roads.

I looked at the video before posing the question. It looks an OK road to me but hoping someone might have actually driven it with a caravan. There is a campsite just outside Disentis on the road to the lukmanier pass which the cc describe as okay for caravans
then head down to Lugano and the ItalIan lakes.
