We are In France May/June and planning on staying at Carcassone  Camping de la Cité for a few days. Our Daughter would like to join us for a week. A night at Carcassone and then couple of days on coast possibly Argeles sur mer before flying
back from Carcassone. Does anyone know the best way to get to/from Carcassone Airport to campsite? We will be in a motorhome so assume airport access would be problematical.

Use the airport shuttle bus in and out of the city.

You should be able to drive to the airport without problems - there are no height barriers (or weren't when we were last there).   There is usually plenty of space, but if you have a problem just pull in where people take their hire cars back. There is also parking on a little back road just opposite the airport, which you can see on Google maps runs alongside the D119.

What date is your daughter flying?  We shall be flying into Carcassonne from Manchester in early May and our car will be left at the airport.  We could give her a lift if she happens to be on our flight.  Email me at valdaathome@gmail.com.  Prices are very reasonable at the moment and we got return flights for two people for just 66 euros!

As you are staying at Camping de la Cite its only a 7kms taxi ride from the airport which takes about 10 mintues. Might this not be more convenient?

Thanks All for information and thankyou Val for your kind offer. It's probably going to be early June before we are in Carcassone as plan to visit Loire and Dordogne first. Taxi from Airport probably best option.

Perhaps best to ask the fare before setting off? When we were in Brussels last year as there were six of us we used taxi's a couple of times and always asked the price first which seemed perfectly acceptable to the cab driver.
