Gas bottles in Italy

Hi

This is my first discussion so I hope I'm doing it right! Been to France a few times and have Butagaz Le Cube bottles as they are widely available there. Going to Sicily and Southern Italy for a couple of months (ferry from Genoa or Livorno to Palermo) and
intend to get a local bottle and regulator (to return at the end of the trip) which I'll use in tandem with a Cube (for the hopefully brief periods while the Italian bottle is empty and I get an exchange) and a Campingaz emergency backup. Can anyone advise
on which brand of gas bottle is the most widely available in Italy? Any other tips to help us with our trip would, of course, be very welcome.

The only widely available gas bottle in Italy is Campinggaz but most garages in Italy sell bottled gas from a variety of producers. The gas is not as expensive as in the UK and you should have no problems obtaining a regulator (they are standard to all Itailan
propane bottles - a Calor regulator is not compatable).
