We are planning to travel to the Dordogne for two weeks in September.  Looking for a stop over site within a couple of hours from Caen for return journey.  Has anybody got any recommendations?  Many thanks

It may not be close enough but we are stopping here going in the opposite direction     http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/overseas-holidays/sites/france/poitou-charentes/camping-du-lac-de-saint-cyr

A nice site about 3.5 hours from Caen

Le Mans is about two hours from the ferry. Will that do?

Thanks for the responses.  We may alter our plans, travelling up from the Dordogne to ? Les Acacias for overnight stay, then on to a site very near Caen for a night.  Catching the early morning ferry back to Portsmouth the next day.   We need to be back
in the Midlands by early evening.

So many options, we feel this might suit us best.
