Hello, i have stayed at the site but only as a stopover. The site pitches are grass and a decent size, showers etc. are ok. The site is easy to find off the motorway and is signed. There is a restaurant on site,( not used by us). Public transport into Bruges
is close by as are shops / supermarkets. Out of season Acsi can be used and we have just turned up , May / June visits. A few seasonal vans on site. Hope this helps.0 -
Stayed at this site last year in June. Large site but tourers are away from statics. Large pitches with plenty of water taps etc. Bus stop near sight for bus to Brugge
site was quite in June. Would use again as stop over before ferry from Zeebrugge

We've stayed there a number of times en route to either Holland or Germany. Very useful stopover site; it's in 2 parts, reception is on 1 part, and I think that's where most of the statics are as well. The tourer part is about 100 metres or so further
down on the opposite side. We've stayed for 2 nights a couple of times in December and got the bus into Bruges, for the Xmas markets. It can get a bit boggy when it's been raining a lot, although some pitches are better than others in that respect.0 -
We also have stayed for a couple of nights enroute from Germany, as said the touring area is further down the road from the main reception and seperated from the statics. For anyone not able, it is a little distance to walk down to the lake and its sand beach, and the main restaurants which also hosts a great Chinese eat in. On the touring site there is a pool area and snack bar but check the opening times as its season is shorter than the main site amenities. You are given a bag for recycling to dispose of at the end of your stay and a card to work the security barrier, with pitches of a decent size and hedged. Toilet / showers OK but a little dated and when busy the cleaners cannot keep up with the untidiness of some people, ie toilet paper everywhere.

A good introduction to foreign touring, nice and easy from the Calais /Dunkirk ports. If you are going out of season have a look at the ACSI card, good discounts on site fees.Enjoy the trip.

Kevin, I hope you are not going to be disappointed. Perhaps the site has improved, but my memory of it is that it is a very ordinary place. We thought it was functional and practical for a one day visit to Bruges, it served its purpose for that, but didn't seem a particularly attractive place to stay for longer. Go and have a look, see what you think, and be prepared to move on.
