Sardinia

Anyone been there with a caravan? I'm thinking of going in May/June and would appreciate details of personal experiences of touring the island (what to see, where to camp, what to watch out for, etc.). Getting there is not so important as my route will be
different because I will be starting from Germany. I'm more interested in what to expect when I get there.

Yes, thanks. I have had a look there, but the reviews are all about touring with a motorhome. Whilst they are useful, I was wondering whether there are any specifics for touring with a caravan. Besides, it's always best to get as much information as one
can from as many sources as possible.

We stayed last May in the beautiful ACSI site 3115 in Cannigione on the north east corner of the island. Not to far from Olbia/ Golfo Aranci ferry ports. Large site but with many pitches right on the beach. We have a motorhome but plenty of caravans on site.

What crossing did you take and was it expensive ? Was doing the lakes but still keeping our options open. Thanks.
