Route from Zeebrugge to Alsace
Does any one recommend a route from the ferry at Zeebrugge to the Alsace. With a car and caravan.

Hi, you don't say where in Alsace you're heading for. I have to agree with Eurortraveller that the best way is via Brussels, Namur and Luxembourg, from there you have a choice: via Metz and the A4 motorway (péage) towards Strasbourg, via Nancy, St Dié and
the Col du Bonhomme towards Colmar or via Nancy, Epinal and the Col de Bussang towards Mulhouse. All are good for caravans. For my money, the tunnel route (N159) east from St Dié towards St Marie aux Mines is expensive for what it saves, from memory the toll
for the tunnel is about €15 for a car and caravan.Taking advantage of the HGV restrictions on a Sunday, we have made it to Saverne on the A4 route in 1 day, though we now tend to use the Rotterdam ship as it arrives earlier and Brussels is only 27 miles further than from Zeebrugge.
