We are thinking of visiting the Jura region this year, particularly around Lake Vouglans. Camping Trelachaume looks promising but reviews i've found are a few years old. Anyone with up to date knowledge or info ? First time on here so any ideas gratefully
recieved. Cheers Phil J.

We had a good few weeks in the Jura last year and found it well worth it as it is a bit different and not very touristy and the whole of the Jura is great for walking.Stayed on Camping Surchauffant in La Tour du Meix which is on Lac Vouglans. We used aires
and the French Passion in the main so dont have many details of campsites sorry.Loads of cheese farms etc. Also visited Cascades du Herisson near Doucier staying on camping les Merilles and these 7 waterfalls were well worth the effort.

In the French guide under Doucier is Camping du Git near Monnet le Ville. we have stayed here several times and it is a gem. Lovely views across the valley. Walking and cycling excellent also - a tranquil place with good facilities and its own herd of cows
    passing by twice a day!!
