    We were there last May and found it very hot but was told by the site owner that it was exceptional weather and 9 degrees above normal.

    Early to mid June is a perfect time to go. It is warm but not overly hot- if you can cope with British summer hot then  Early June is Provence is no problem. I go in Auust every year and don't find it too much even then

    Thanks for responses on temperature.  We went to Provence during a very hot August some 25 years ago, but were camping then, and the temperature was unbearable for me.  So we did exactly as you suggest ET and moved back up north.  Even Britanny was scorching
    that August.
