It's a very popular site and fills up quickly with overnight stops. They probably don't feel the need to take bookings!

Last time we were there it was early October.  It's possible that they are away at the moment with the site closed for winter.  Although I'd expect them to still check their emails.  They're also in the 2016 ACSI book, so I'd think they're still going.

What time of year are you going?  We've never booked there and always got on, but that is usually end of May and beginning of July, and again towards the end of August and beginning of October.  We do make sure we arrive by about 4pm as well.

I emailed an enquiry last week and received a reply a couple of days later. Try sending again.

Is there anything in your email which could make it go into their Spam box?  I've been emailing a company about something, and just one word in my email was 'recognised' by their spam filter and all my emails were going straight in there.  I took out the
offending word, after they had found the location of my emails, and it got through straight away, proving the point.  Sometimes the strangest word activates the Spam filter.

They definitely do take bookings as they were turning people away who hadn't booked when we stayed there last June. I never book at that time of year but was the last person to get in without a booking at about 3.15. so this is one site where I would say
    book.

Camping St Claire was operating last October, we stayed there. I did not think it was open all year however, so, perhaps the site is closed for winter? There are two parts to the site, ie a motorhome only aire, with automatic barrier and electronic check
in, plus, a "conventional" site, with manual check-in, available to tents, caravans, motorhomes, and, I believe some rental chalets/caravans.
