Thanks, got it.
But all you see initially when opening that page is a big round orange sticker that draws your eye to the price of £14.95. I would have thought that an offer of any kind would be there to hit you in the eye, it isn't.
Now open up the green box "Buy Camping Cheques" add 7 cheques and click Add Camping Cheques and it displays the FULL Price

I think that's because it says to ring for the offer.

Offer or no offer the 7 for the price of 6 only seems to apply only if purchased in conjunction with a ferry booking. Still better to buy direct from the French site.

The first time we bought cheques was to use at a specific site and I bought direct. Since then I have almost always bought as part of an ITX package to access the discounts on ferry fares that this gives and this was one of the main points in the OP.
If I need more than the minimum required to get the ITX , which is saving me app £200,I could buy them on the French site and get them put onto my silver card then sit back and decide what to do with the money I have saved, which, at today's rate, on my
Caxton card its €1.27,would save me 21 pence per cheque over the clubs current price of £12.81.0 -
Can I use camping cheques to pay for a ferry crossing

Just read (PC forum) that 99 sites have discontinued taking camping cheques this coming season. Seems that there are serious problems with sites getting payment and the level of payment they recieve. This is AFTER the publication of the site guide so you
would be wise to check that your intended site still accepts cheques as payment. Unlucky for me as I have just bought my cheques but I am thinking of returning them and using ACSI instead. If you go to Practical Caravan website and look at the forum for Overseas
sites there is a list of those sites who have dropped out.0 -
I've already published the list on here Graham - see
here:However, someone posted elsewhere, that most of the 'dropped out sites' aren't in the guide so had obviously dropped out before it was published. I think that you'll find there are still plenty of good sites, but if the site you want doesn't accept them
then I would see what Camping Cheques say!0
