Advice on planned route to spain

Towing to Valencia 15 January.Poitiers may be too far for first stop so thinking of Tours via N154 and N10 instead of A 28. Is that wise? Taking N10 from Poitiers to Bordeaux rather than motorway - again is this feasible?Hopefully get to border and then
into Zaragossa. Any views on Pamplona site Ezcaba for return journey. Lastly is N121a best route to Pamplona or A15/AP15.

your helpful advice, as always, much appreciated.

    After a break from caravaning in europe for fifteen years or so I was shocked last year at all the speed humps in French towns now a days, it deffo took the shine off non motorway driving for me, but on the bright side you do save on fuel which off-sets
    the tolls, so for me A28..

    We do this trip most winters and in January will do N154 then N10 to Bordeaux, we tend to go via A10 to by pass Tours. We will do A15/AP15 over the Pyrrennes then Zaragoza onto A23 which brings you out to Valencia. We've tried most routes and find this the
    best in winter because it is all dual carriageway but do keep an eye on the weather at all times and lastly enjoy your stay in Valencia.

    I have twice done this trip in January. N154 & N10 is fine for caravans.  Mostly dual carriagesway and town bypasses now.

     If Poitiers is too far then
    Les Acacias at Tours     is a good overnighter (or more if you want a quick visit of Tours).  We used to just turn up at this ACSI site, but it seems from their website that they now need advance warning.  More likely so that they can ensure someone at rec
    eption than because it is full, there has always been plenty of room.

    South from Tours the N10 via Poitiers and Angouleme is dual carriageway all the way, but a lot of HGV traffic.  Just as quick as the toll road, but not quite as relaxing and not so many places to stop when towing.

    Next stop, down by the Spanish border,
    Larrouleta    , just off the motorway. A lovely site, heated toilet block, also ACSI

    Then keep on the motorway to Zaragoza, much easier and if there is snow it os much more likely to be clear.  The Municipal at Zaragoza is good, although not ACSI so normal prices.

    I would endorse Phillnffc's suggestion. The N121a has a lot of quarry lorries chucking muck everywhere. Less of an issue in wintertime and particularly now that the autoroute has opened but remember the N10's nickname from times past - "the murdress"
