Red Pennant...no 2016 quotes

We are planning a trip to France in March 2016 and I just tried to get an online quote for travel insurance from Red Pennant. I was amazed to see they are not giving quotes for any travel after 31/12/1015. Given that is only three days away I would have
thought they would have got themselves into gear for next year by now. Very strange

    Just phone Club HQ.

If you are "at risk" already - that is if you have made bookings and laid out money already - they will arrange Red Pennant cover for you over the phone. Not a problem.

I'm not at risk but I would have thought the facility to book 2016 trips online should have been up and running by now.

I have a copy of all of this years rates if they are of any help. Just add a percentage increase, about 5% according to historical rates, to get some idea. just let me know your details if you are interested.

I don't usually book mine until a few weeks before we go. I think this question has been raised before at this time of year although I can't remember the explanation for it not being available. Perhaps Hazel or Jean will be able to explain. If the last few
years have been anything to go by you might even get change of of the suggested 5% increase as by my reckoning the fees have been pretty static.

As we only have a fery booked , fare £134, for late April, and that cost is far less than the RP premium for 60odd days away, we will not be taking out the RP until a couple of weeks before we travel.

By then we should have a pretty good idea as to whether the trip will be going ahead, or not.

We have been operating in this way for several years now.

We also don't take out Red Penant until due to go away, after having to use them twice this year I wouldn't go away without it, worth every penny IMO
