Anyone out there been on the Cap Finistere and had to go up the long ramp to deck 5 with car & caravan? I've done it several times but since changing my car it fills me with dread as I fear stalling!! I'm leaving on Sunday for Spain and have asked if I can avoid this but I'm not sure I can.

The advice I've seen is to wait until the unit in front has virtually cleared the ramp before going up yourself.  So hang back so you've got some momentum before you reach the ramp.

You could try their Live Chat, Twitter feed or phone them to see if they can fit you in on another deck.

Thanks geejay, I do hang back as you suggest. I think I'll do as you suggest and have a live chat with them.

I nearly had a problem a few weeks ago going up the ramp in my panel van.  It's a Ducato with the Comfortmatic gearbox, which is an automatic, and near the top it suddenly decided it was time to go into second, nearly stalling.  Next time I'll put it into
    1st Manual.
