has anyone used this site? any tips information would be  gratefully accepted.

Thinking of a stop over enroute down to Spain.

We Drove thru this town many years ago after visiting tours and thought how pretty it was, but never saw this campsite.

Kind regards

The website for Camping Municipal du Stade at Pont l'Eveque simply says Permanently Closed, and the Club needs to take it out of their site guide. There is another site at Pont l'Eveque by the lake which also has a website but I don't think it is municipal.  I'm not sure which of the two you refer to.

    Hi Mr wolf

Not  sure if this is any help , we stayed last August and it was a busy site full of lots of French and Dutch campers  , typical municipal , basic but lots of hot water , bread delivery every morning and a great location ! The website was very basic last
yr , it does say "camping definitive " on it today although there is an email " campingdustade@free.fr " if this is any use . I can imagine it is seasonal as the warden seemed to be camping on the site with his family  Including his elderly mum who played
dominoes all day , its a real shame if it's shut,  as you have mentioned it a pretty little town , the distillery is worth a visit .

We had tried to book the other site by email as it was I first night after getting off the ferry  and had no reply . When we were there,  we had a little look to see what we were missing , like you do !?!? It is a holiday park
more than a simple site , lots of cabins , mobile homes  , keep fit classes near the lake and childrens entertainment .
