Spanish bed bugs

We are in Spain for 4 months and seem to have introduced bed bugs into the van. We are in UK for Xmas and then fly back on 5th January. Has anyone ever had the same problem in Spain? Anyone know what the relevant Spanish sprays and smoke bombs are called
and where to buy them (we cannot take UK sprays back with us)?

The Spanish website for Rentokil is www.rentokil.es. They will send a man to fumigate the caravan when you get back there, or even before that if you have left a key.

This is a page taken from the USA Government website, about the control and elimination of bed bugs.  It's available in English and Spanish, so you can look for recommended products using the Spanish link at the top of the page, and it may help point you in the right direction.

I hope you manage to get it sorted out.

Bedbugs don't like sunlight, put your bedding out to air in strong sunshine.

And place as much bedding as you possibly could into a freezer...that will kill off the little blighters and then vacuum the bed as much as possible...failing that its a new mattress.

Don't put bags or shopping onto the beds.  Apparently they can be transported if, for example, you stay in a hotel with bugs and then bring your cases back and put them on the bed to unload.
