As you are posting in the UK section I suppose you want a site on this side of the Channel. Is that right? Rookesbury Park at Fareham has special ferry pitches for late arrivals and departures, though there are CLs in the area as well.

DavidF,
Can you please confirm that Eurotraveller is correct otherwise this thread will be moved into the Overseas Sites and Touring Section. If he is correct I'll amend your title slightly.
Many Thanks.

From the times stated I think you do mean Caen and have just posted in the wrong section. You will find that most of us use Les Pommiers on the outskirts of Ouistraham where they stay open until 10pm for the ferry. If you do a search on here for Les Pommiers
you will find it is a regularly asked question and there is a lot of information about it.0 -
This question comes up so often that it might be a candidate for a sticky that cover night halts near ferries. BTW another vote for Les Pommiers.

A sticky is a thread on a subject of such common interest that it stays 'stuck' to the top of the threads so that it is easily available all the time and you don't need to search for it among the many.

Rather than "stickies" there should be a FAQ dealing with such perennial matters.

Thanks LTC et al. Might see you at Les Pommiers .
We'll be there 1st May and 14th June

We are on the late ferry from Caen next May, and Les Pommieres is fine for a one night stop both ways as most people have said. When we return we spend a couple of nights at Martragny right off the N13 and a 40 minute direct route back to Caen. Nice site
with good restuarant.JC

even better, then we can bin the stickies? tidy things up a bit....
all the current stickies could be moved to a new section....FAQ.....and even broadly split into two or three sub sections, but a central place for recurring items would be good.
then folk will know to look there first.....we hope.
these 2 posts have to be up there with 'Most useful post' given that the search on here is well we know don't we. The stickies are usefull but clog up the place. Can this be highlighted for HO to take notice.
