Hi, we’re looking to spend a week with our 2 small dogs in Normandy next year, I’ve looked on the club site & the sites look to be quite big with lots of family facilities which we don't need. We fancy something smaller & sociable. Welcome your experience
& suggestions please

I suggest you buy a copy of the ACSI card guide if you want a variety of sites offering bargain discount prices, or a copy of the Club's Touring France guide if you want an even wider choice including municipals and smaller sites. But either way you won't
need to book in Normandy in June. It's not like the UK.

Good wishes. Have a good trip.

Worth pointing out that the "family facilities" will only be in full use when the kids are on school holidays. At other time all sites, big or small. will be fairly quiet or at least full of pensioners!!! I suspect the Club include sites that will appeal to those wanting full facilities. Have you any preference for where you want to stay as that might make it easier to suggest sites.

Yes, my opinion would be to not consider the CC sites but to do as 'eurotraveller' has stated. There is no good reason to pay CC site prices for your holiday abroad and facilities are up there with the best of them with many varied sizes.

An example of prices in Normandy If you pre book.  The Club will charge £21 for a pitch at Camping Lez Eaux in June, but with an ACSI card you will pay €19 or £13.77 there at the same time of year, and perhaps a small sum more if they charge for your second
    small dog.

It should be a no brainer but.....  Frown

Just met a fellow caravaner who had pre booked and paid for all there sites through caravan club. They could not leave early as sites were prepaid. As we were using ACSI they could not believe we were paying between a half and two thirds of what they had paid!

    Use ACSI when abroad!
