I have had an ongoing saga of trials with my electricity provider - as I know others on here have had - after several years of dissatisfaction with nPower in May I finally decided to walk with my feet and applied to Switch - "it only takes a few minutes"
WHO do they think they are kidding??  My switch finally went ahead sometime in July to Scottish Power (who so far haven't put a foot wrong) but this week I received an apology from nPower that my final bill was still delayed.  So I dug back into emails and
found the apology and complaint number from one big white chief who had waived my last bill of some £60 mentioning my disbelief that things had still not been resolved - he promised to refer the matter to someone else and the net result has been that my last
£30 usage has also been waived.  Good result - although the amount of time I have spent complaining has been huge - all came at an extremely stressful family time for me - so £90 compensation doesn't seem brilliant but it obviously pays to keep at them and
demand compensation for time and energy spent chasing them!

So folks - keep at them - you can get satisfaction if you complain loudly enough!

It is also amazing how attentive they are when you ask them 'who is your regulator?'

I will remember that - although the regulator didn't help my daughter much when she had a problem a couple of years ago.  It seemed they moved when I started talking about being compensated for the disruption.  "Talking" - now that is a virtual impossibility
    - I did it by email.

I've been with nPower since I moved into this house thirteen odd years ago. Can't say I've had any problems. Plus the fact, with my solar panels, they pay me more than I pay them.
