Really nice and mild today, we had a lovely sunset last night so thought we would get a frost but no. Went into town to get more bits and pieces, managed to all the cards I wanted bar 1, my sister is 70 while we are away and not one shop had a nice card,
it was the same when I was looking for a 90th for Mum, now there are lots fo 90's and no 70's Frown will try again next week hopefully they will
    have restocked.

Off to the hairdresser this afternoon for a trim before the holidays, OH tasked to clear up leaves from grass Laughing

Bakers2, my sister is making up a family multi photo frame for Mum from lots of the photos we have, it will be mostly of Mum's family, its all she talks about these days, she was the youngest of 7, she is  having difficulty in understanding they are no longer
around so we thought if she could see them in photos it might help.

My Mum loves photos too TG, they are her special reminder of just about everything and everyone. We have done photo books and I sometimes send photo postcards as a surprise. I use this company
here and write a little note on the back.

I feel very cold today, the house has taken a long time to warm up after our short break. The temperatures got very low here. We're now in a deep fog, the frost has gone but the cold air has increased the fog. We are going out to our garden club tonight,
last one of the season, mince pies to enjoy! Smile

Thanks Millie, we had a lovely time seeing the family. The postcards are very good, I got the idea from a friend's student son who sent everyone photo postcards on his gap year travels.Smile

Thanks Brue, I've saved the link too. When we had the freezing fog for a couple of days I felt much colder than when we had -7 temps and sunshine, it just seems to get into your bones doesn't it.

Write your comments here...Quite ironic really Triky. We ordered some new stuff from Amazon and also from an independent store. Had 3 emails stating that one (Indy) would arrive Wednesday this week, another promising Thursday from Amazon and the third stating today. All arrived on Wednesday morning. Good job we were in for the Indy one.

Edit - as delivery guy left I looked up and saw his back door still open! Hope no-one is missing their parcels.Surprised

Knuckled under and blitzed our house . Had a friends knock and pop in for half hour on their way past. Nice to have swift break and friends who don't care what state you or your house are in . His father who lives round the corner from them and us 103
1/2 just out of hospital, drained some fluid from lungs, enablers coming in for two weeks to assess situation and report. Friends check on him daily and do shopping, cleaning, washing etc.  Were hoping to be long healthy livers
if possible, hopefully something in the air, we've had for other neighbour's making it past 100, 106 being oldest, still living independently (well family help) at 104.

It's been a quiet day and I spent most of the afternoon catching up on sleep! The first order came just as it was getting dark. Then there was a break, enough time to get back to the caravan for a cup of tea. Then the next order came, so we are now back in the town centre collecting from Macdonalds. It's after six so parking allowed!

Arrived home and found a small package had been delivered and left on the table by Mrs H. We were expecting a couple of deliveries, so I opened it up.

'Don't remember ordering this', I thought.

Then realised it had been left here for our neighbours.....Embarassed

    my earlier post)

I shouldn't really complain as I was annoyed that deliveries were tying up an extra 2 days. " Why can't they deliver them on the same day?" said I. Well, they must have heard me.

Sorry to hear about your kerfuffle, Millie. Even worse when you have to apologise. We had it slightly differently a few months ago when a neighbour rang our bell asking for her parcel. We tole her that nothing had been delivered. She went off only to return
5 minutes later accusing us of lying and, with her mobile in hand, stated that the delivery company confirmed delivery to a neighbour. Very embarassing for her when it was confirmed that the neighbour was the other side of her and not us. We don't take too
kindly to be called liars, so guess what? No more parcel acceptances. 99% of the time we were the default for her but not anymore.

Fingers crossed for you CY. your score's probably better than many that are out there driving at the moment, looking at the antics of some drivers.

We're in the town centre at the moment collecting two more Macdonalds orders for delivery. It's unusually busy for a Thursday. People having Christmas parties no doubt!
