7 deliveries so far today. The traffic is easing now at last. About an hour ago, it was horrendous!

A very grey start to the day but at least it was dry to walk the dogs. Just back from a (winning!!) game of bowls. Got to take Lady to the vets this afternoon for her annual booster. Then off to Bristol tonight to see Billy Elliot at the Hippodrome. It's
got very good reviews so looking forward to a good night out. Happy

Hope you enjoy the show Moulesy   have a great evening . Smile

Back home today after 10 great days away.

Weather was very mild, no rain at any time that would spoil things, plenty of walking.......brilliant.

Isn't it great to have a caravan? Laughing

" I can't swap pots around as they are VERY heavy and are either side of the door. "

Millie - have you tried tipping them over a few degrees at an angle and then rolling them into the desired position. That's what I do for mine as I can no longer pick them up to move them.

Took MIL to a local garden centre as she wanted to buy a new Die Cutter and Embosser for her card making activities. Good job we went today as special offer of 20% off finishes tomorrow so saved "herself" over £30.  Said herself but we will end up buying
it as an early Christmas present. Gosh, these things are expensive. Told her she has to live long enough for us to get our moneys worth out of it.Happy

Then sorted out our caravan insurance, moving it away from the CC as they are too expensive.

Today we have had alternating brilliant sunshine and lashing rain, managed to avoid the rain while going to and fro between tenant's flat and Screwfix to buy a new front door lock.

Took several hours to get it all sorted as the tenant loves to  chat, but he did make me cheese on toast for lunch!

Screwfix and B&Q have been our chief ports of call recently, I'll be quite glad to be on a caravan site soon away from all the DIY!

We're still putting out free cooking apples for people to take, the bin men like them on Mondays and we seem to have some regular pie makers! Wink

Looks like we're in the wrong part of the country. Have only seen one box of free apples up here all year.Sad

9th order of the day at the town centre KFC. Usually, there's plenty of parking available at this time of the evening but not tonight for some reason!

Bit of a mixed day weather wise, cold with periods of rain. Managed a couple of dry walks and one wet one, so far. Gas fitter arrived on time so service on boiler now done. It seems that NPower are getting rid of it's service department and have sold it
to Homeserve. This is about to take effect possibly from the start of the year. Looks like a good time to change our electric/gas supplier.

My OH bumped into the farmer near our caravan site yesterday, and helped him with some tree felling and moving branches.  Today we've been backwards and forward six times and filled our estate car back with six lovely loads of logs - hawthorn, sycamore,
beech and hazel.......!  Tomorrow's job will be building a new log store to house them all, and Friday will be spent chopping them all up into lengths and splitting them.

My friends took two loads, too - so a good day for all.  The farmer was glad to get the wood cleared.

Have just been watching "Super Vet" because tonight's episode was filmed when our cat was at a local cattery and we had to give permission in case he was filmed as part of the programme. Barbara the owner is very nice and our
cats have always been well looked after by the cattery. We're not sure if we caught a glimpse of our Rollo but we enjoyed the programme and I was pleased to see Barbara's cat had made good progress with the "super vet." Smile

Our lovely hairdresser came to do our hair this morning. She is still having chemo and didn't look at all well today. She was quite cheerful though as after tomorrow she only has 2 more sessions and then has December off so is planning a good Christmas with
her girls and the rest of her family. She then has surgery in the new year followed by radiotherapy. She is being so very brave.

We are as sure as anyone could have been that it was Brian Capron.  (Either that or it was his twin!!)  We consciously made the decision not to impose upon their private lives - I guess they must get sick of people approaching and hastling them.

However, I did do some research and it appears that Brian Capron was acting in a play at Buxton Opera house for the time he was at Clover Fields, so it all adds up.  He even ordered a taxi to get him from the site to the Opera House which fitted in with
the times of the performances.  He was only performing for two days and they left this morning, just before us, when his commitments had been completed.

It's been a rather grey start to the morning here. I watched the weather forecast on Breakfast tv and it looks like it's going to get a lot colder over the next few days. So, if you're out and about, you might need to wrap up warm!

I think I'm going to be glad of the new lambswool jumper that I bought for £45 a few days ago at M&S. It's nice and warm.
