We're up and having our first cup of tea. It looks like it has been raining earlier whilst we were asleep but it seems to have stopped now and I can see patches of blue sky.

We've now been on this site for 6 days. How quickly the time has gone!

Waiting for the scaffolders to arrive. We are having our wooden facias and soffits replaced with UPVC. I think I am too old to be up there painting them now!!!

Sky to the west is as black as the ace of spades. Our area is bathed in brilliant sunshine and the effect of the brightly lit trees and foliage against the black background is quite spectacular.  Isn't nature wonderful.

Have some gardening jobs to be done today.

Beautiful morning, not a cloud I  the sky, and so mild, back from a walk across the fields with the dog, making the most of the sunshine . Not at work until lunchtime so household jobs this morning, just got to get motivated now!

Sunny here at present with enough wind to make the sun dance through the trees as it comes through the windows Nature is awesome. At least for us at the moment, I might feel very different if I lived I Kaikoura NZ

Exciting day - not! Visit to charity shop to drop off, dump run and B&Q (other diy stores are available). I can't wait .  Oh discovered I'd bought frozen blackberries instead of blueberries, very tart on my porridge! So will have to call in supermarket
to get what I want and a cooking apple or two, used all those I've been given in making pies and crumbles, to go with the blackberries.

We're still putting out free cooking apples for people to take, the bin men like them on Mondays and we seem to have some regular pie makers! Wink

I need to plant my tulip bulbs brue but the trouble is that the 2 pots I want to plant them in are still full of geraniums that are flowering profusely and looking wonderful.  I can't swap pots around as they are VERY heavy and are either side of the door.
I have just stood and looked at them and decided that I haven;t the heart to pull them out yet so will leave it for a week or two and see what happens.

Millie, I'm much the same but found the tulips were sprouting and will have to find somewhere for them. The last of our outside geraniums got frosted and I've got indoor ones to keep til next year. Better get a move on while the sun is shining. Wink

We'll be having lunch soon as we have to be ready for work by 12 noon. We've still got leftover Roast Pork from our Sunday lunch. It has lasted us for four days, so we just have to cook some veg to go with it.

Fortunately ours will be Rosewood so even if dirty we shouldn't be able to see it!!!!

Scaffolders just arrived, the reason they were late was a car went into the back of them and given that its quite a substantual lorry its done fair amount of damaged. Fortunately it was done in an urban area no one was hurt as no one was going fast.

    David.

A very grey start to the day but at least it was dry to walk the dogs. Just back from a (winning!!) game of bowls. Got to take Lady to the vets this afternoon for her annual booster. Then off to Bristol tonight to see Billy Elliot at the Hippodrome. It's
got very good reviews so looking forward to a good night out. Happy

Bright sunny day with westerly winds so took the opportunity to walk from Burgh Castle along Breydon Water then cut back across the water meadows to the car.  Lovely walk in balmy conditions with a respectable 14C.Happy

Horrible when we set out for home from Buxton this morning, but cleared up nicely by the time we got to the A50.  Kept nice for us to take the caravan back to storeage.  It's beginning to cloud over again now.  Rather a mixed day!

Got up to another lovely sunny day, quite windy last night but still overcast so no joy on seeing the moon.

Decided to go to Edinburgh and Livingstone for the day, had a lovely drive down in the sunshine, the new Forth road bridge is almost there just one little bit that ha to be joined up, its going to look spectacular when finished.

Both of us managed to get some new clothes for the up coming cruise so it was a succesful shopping day.

The weather had turned really horrible by the time we came out of the shops glad we parked in the multi storey and not outside.

Quite a sunny day, not what  was forecast, decent if chilly breeze. I wish I'd washed my bedding . Rained about 5pm. Did the charity shop, dump, B&Q, food shopping run this morning. Made a very tasty casserole, roasted some beetroot and made a Baileys
banana cake, without the Baileys, just used milk, very tasty . Skype with NZ crew very soon
