Malcolm, do you always just spend your Tesco vouchers back in store? keeping them for awhile to use on double up is worth while, they have a 2 year life or use them to treat yourself and Mrs M to a nice meal out its 3 times the value if you do that.

"thought about going to Coniston or Meathop fell but the weather wasn't great for there either after today"
TG, yesterday was nice and sunnt & today turned out not too bad but cold. However the forecast is for rain and snowover the next few hours so I think you did right heading home. We thought of having a few more days away but toothache has decided it for
us and we head home tomorrow if not snowed in. As you say there's always another time to go out again...safe journey home, hope the snow isn't a problem for you. Its been good here today too so managed a few jobs in the garden, not a wasted journey home

Our flask will keep the water hot for 24hrs if we don't use it.
I've given up on using flasks like that, Brue ! I just fill them with fresh water and make a cuppa when I fancy one -- the joys of a motorvan !!

That's a bit difficult when you fancy a hot drink when out for a walk and the van is 5 miles away.

Sometimes even 4 times the voucher value.

Had our last lot of run beans on Sunday evening so will leave the plants a little longer to set seed. Excellent crop this year had them just about every day from 20 August to 6th November! Sorted and refilled bird feeders. If it stops raining my have a
little walk at Ranworth Broad later0 -

We'll be hitching up soon for the start of our journey from Littlehampton to Derby. The google map says 3 hours 45 minutes but I reckon it will take us 5 hours with stops.

It was raining here too, Oneputt, earlier this morning and there'll be wind passing me too, in the form of juggernauts overtaking me on the motorway, as I head towards the Peak District!

I just read the BBC weather forecast for Derby, a Yellow Warning of snow. Truma told us there's a lorry park there where we can park overnight tonight and to be at their factory by 8 a.m. tomorrow morning, so that they can start work on our aircon as soon
as possible.0 -
Slow start to my day. Woke late with cold symptoms . Forgot about USA, must be feeling poorly, so 10 news a shock all round. Just having breakfast. Wet here not expecting snow. Will put together NZ parcel, and write some Christmas cards, however slowly.
Will check cupboards for cake and pudding ingredients to shop when feel like it but before a voucher from tesco expires, missed the first one but used second and will ensure this one is used, £8 off £40. It pays not to be loyal, must be due some from Sainsbury
very soon0 -
Bitterly cold and drizzly. Snow on the hills round about.
But here's something cute and cuddly to cheer us up.

Malcolm safe journey to Derby take it easy you've got all day.
On subject of vouchers can't do anything but use in store for Boots. But do save your Tesco vouchers and exchange for more than face value. An evening off a meal out will feel like a holiday. You don't have to jump every time he shouts. Enjoy your life too.
If you still want some work from him offer fixed days/evenings so he can employ someone else's to cover your regular off days off.0
