Up bright and early this morning - the dogs didn't appreciate having the chance of an extra hour in bed. So up to the dunes first thing where there seemed to be an amazing number of other dog owners in the same boat!

Had a big shed clear out yesterday so took the opportunity of dumping a load of unwanted stuff over at Newquay recycling. Quick coffee just now, then cut the grass (last time this year I hope) and then back to Newquay after lunch for a walk around Pentire
Head and along Fistral beach. It really is unseasonably warm - may have to get back into shorts (but not if Mrs M has anything to do with it! Wink)

Sounds idyllic. Mr B went out in shorts and T-shirt last evening in the dark, I didn't check his footwear, probably flip-flops .......... Everyone comments but he'll be in them for as long as he can

Just finished assembling our witch scarecrow for the village Halloween festival. She looks quite good, sat on the bench outside the front door. I'd post a photo if I knew how.

Expect tomorrow night might get a bit lively, our Pendle villages  are always busy at Haloween.

I've just been out on the two lawns to pick out the wild mushrooms which seem to be even more abundant this year. I need to get them out for when we get a visit from my daughter with her dogs. They'll root around for anything and I haven't a clue wether
    they are safe or not.

After lunch, I had my usual 40 winks and then got woken up by the boss at 11:15 to ask if I was ready to start work. So I reminded him that I don't start work until 12. Back came the message, sorry I forgot the hour change!

Tge forst order came through only a few minutes after 12. A Macdonalds delivery to regular town centre customer. Then came  a KFC order immediately after. So I'm now awaiting collection of it in Marine Place, town centre KFC.

There are three KFCs in Worthing. One in the town centre, one in Broadwater and the other in Goring by sea.

Back to Liverpool Terrace in the town centre to collect from Macdonalds for the third delivery today. It's a nice drive along the sea front though. The sun is shining and the sea's blue. Crowds of people everywhere but at least it's not as crowded as Central London!

Proper food shop abandoned. Drove out of our road to join the approach road to our nearest tesco. Solid queue turned right instead of left  to come home and parked on the drive. This tesco carpark us notorious for grid locking not only itself but the most
of the town . Checked cupboards for what is desperately required, we walked and carried it home. Think that is cause of our mother Hubbard cupboards, too many walking trips to shop so heavy stuff not bought. Still we now have dinner. Laziness and slow
start seems to the start of a cold . Not had one for years, off to snuggle up and indulge myself

We've got lots around too. Spied half a giant puff ball in my daughter's kitchen, it smelt very meaty but was clean and they were gradually frying bits up in butter.

Well what a day, half way through making Christmas cakes but had to leave them as son and grandson appeared, cooked an early roast lunch and have been "down the swing park" most of the afternoon! So warm, we didn't need coats. Back to cakes in a minute....have even had requests for what they want on the top of theirs! Hope you've all had a good day. Smile

We  have  a  similar  problem  here,  B2.  Retail  park  half  mile  from  Crewe's  decaying  town  centre,  has  a  proper  but  small  r-a-bout  and  it  causes  so  much  chaos  it  would  be  better  if  it  was  dug  up  and  the  designer  buried
under  it !  With  M & S   having  relocated  from  the  Town Centre  onto  this  shopping  area  it  might  be  quicker  to  shop  in  Chester    this  Christmas.  After  all  its  only  24  miles  each  way  !!

We got back to the caravan and just had time to make a cheese and ham sandwich when the next order came. So went to Goring KFC collected the order and delivered to Lancing. 9th delivery. Then a Macdonalds order came, as soon as that was done, so back to Chapel Road in Worthing town centre, to collect our tenth order today, for delivery locally.

Misty as we started out over the marshes, the sound of Curlews calling in the distance gave an eerie sort of atmosphere.  The sun soon burned of the mist and sun and blue sky became the order of the day.  My choice of wearing shorts was vindicated.  Lovely 2.5 mile walk to Berney Mill and met by lovely volunteers who showed us around.  We decided on a circular route so returned to the car via a 4.5 mile hike across Berney and Halvergate  marshes. I won't bore you with the contents of our picnic but suffice to say it was welcome and tasty.Happy

Too busy to do food shopping so Sunday supper is Butchers made faggots, mash and peas!

We have had an interesting afternoon at local dealers! We have  poked around lots of different models, looked at different layouts, speculated on the life expectancy of a lot of fittings, laughed at some of the twee extras, gasped at some of the interior
decor, and nodded in approval of perhaps two new MH models. We went with a mental list of must haves and preferences, and some were met quite well. We also saw some virgin customers who were brand new to the wiles and sales tactics of buying a MH! All in all
an interesting afternoon. Did we come away with anything?

    We did!Cool
