I have one of those small Ikea table top ironing boards as well TG. I have had it for years and like yours it lives in the wardrobe and takes up no space at all. I have a domestic iron that lives under one of the seats in the caravan and both are used occasionally while we are away.

I have never ironed on holiday (and not washed clothes since the children were in real nappies). Everything bagged up to do at home. But we are never away for more than a week.
I think I have an iron at his home. Maybe under the sink? But I can't remember when it was last used.

Pulling the 'Privet' roots apart ready to burn,filling in the holes,leveling the ground,pulled a boat & trailer out of the way,shifted tree logs to a pal's plot,retrieved sleepers & positioned ready for boats out next week,shifted old diesel tank & waste bins ,amazing what can be done with a 'digger ' !! Thats all before lunch,(well ,,a sandwich & a pint !!

Went to Crantock this morning and walked down to the beach, think this is my favourite so far this trip.
Walked back via the coastal path.
Had lunch back at the van, then took the awning down as the sun was shining, packed away nice and dry. Did another of the circular walks from the site this afternoon. Now back at the van wishing that we hadn't got to go home tomorrow.
It's
been a great trip, think I've fallen "in love" with this part of Cornwall.

Had lunch back at the van, then took the awning down as the sun was shining, packed away nice and dry. Did another of the circular walks from the site this afternoon. Now back at the van wishing that we hadn't got to go home tomorrow. It's
been a great trip, think I've fallen "in love" with this part of Cornwall.Crantock is a great beach isn't it? The course of the river running down the valley changed drastically in the big storms a couple of winters ago and it looks very different to some of the older photos we've got.
Glad you've enjoyed this part of North Cornwall; still lots to see so hopefully you'll be back before too long. Safe journey home tomorrow.

Quick catch up on here whilst I have sandwich lunch in the sunny conservatory . Started with haircuts, hairdresser hadn't put us in the diary for yesterday - again . Lucky she wasn't busy first thing. Leads a very chaotic life but good a hair cutting!
Not the first time, seriously thinking about changing but I have hair that proves challenging. Took several attempts and years to find this one, then shop closed. She started on her own a couple of years ago, gone haywire in last few months lifestyle wise
.Doing accounts, it gets complicated with several current accounts, only way to earn decent interest these days and that's dropping - thank you Santander . So have to confirm all rotating payments, account requirements, have happened etc and remove surplus
caused by interest, it earns nothing over the various limits! to somewhere it earns a little . Almost a fulltime job in its own right!!!Just learned mother has company today and tomorrow so 'free' time . Just have to choose which of the list jobs I fancy, gardening looking good option at mo.

Been doing the same myself after reading some of the posts on here a few months ago, you got me inspired to do do better. So now have 2 new banks accounts in my name and we have changed over from the Flex to Flexplus account with our Nationwide

working out well at the moment but as you say keeping track of everything to start with is a job in itself.Just finished a 5 hours stint in the garden, boy do I ache, still its looking good and tidy once again and I need to lose weight again so its a win win. Been a lovely day here so far but getting a bit chilly now the sun has gone.
Glad you inspired to sort. Just need to keep your eye on things, most is done by SO's or DD's. But still need to keep track. I had a pleasant surprise - I hadn't moved the interest out last month, oversight I presume, so saw some nice figures in interest

On the M5 today, half term traffic jams, had to leave and find another route to see the family. Eventually had a nice time! Took my Mum to see the recent new arrival, her fourth great grand daughter, lovely baby.

It does with me lots of bending, stretching, lifting and raking the leaves off the grass all calorie burning, also if I'm not indoors I don't drink tea so much so no sugar or biscuits

We thought Crantock was great, talking to a lady from the village we learnt all about the new river course, and how it has affected the rip tides and made it dangerous at times.
We bought a take away cream tea from the bakery in Perranporth, can recommend.
Will definitely be visiting the area again!

Crantock is one of our favourite beaches in that part of Cornwall. Glad you had a good time Helen, nice to hear you met up with Chris. Have a safe journey home.

Restocking day, so after washing our dirty laundry, we drove into Stranraer. Lidl then Morrisons, lunch in car and a good walk along the quayside. Nice and sunny this afternoon so all washing dried, ironed and away before dinner this evening.
You iron things?........while away in the caravan?........that is above the call of duty! We are cultivating the "crumpled look", both at home and while away in the van.
At home, with judicious use of the dryer and hanging things up to finish drying, I cannot remember the last time OH felt the need to iron anything. Maybe if it was a special occasion.....like a wedding or similar.
Acually it was the OH who did the ironing, she wouldn't trust me with the implement. As we're away for at least another 2 weeks, we need to keep up appearances.

Took son to RDA (Riding for the Disabled) all went well till a plane flew very suddenly a low over the arena. i got a fright let alone the horse that my son was on!
Then spent the afternoon looking for my camera, couldn't be in the caravan as I had cleared it for the winter, not in the car as I had cleaned it, not round the house as I had put all the contents of the caravan away. Couldn't fathom it! Drove to the takeaway
suddenly had a flash of inspiration I had gone to the gym on Monday and put the camera in my sports bag then put the bag unopened under the bed!0 -

Write your comments here...We don't have an iron or ironing board either. There's not enough room in a caravan to have everything that you would normally have in a house.
They don't take up much space, MM. The small ironing board hangs up in my wardrobe and the iron along with the toaster fit nicely into one of our cupboards.
