Lovely walk with sons dog this morning, he played golf.  Back and cooked a roast, used a jimbo2107 recipe for yorkshires, see ask the chef thread, best  I've ever made
Kiss.  All ate together, well not the dog it laid under the table!  Cleared up and chatted a bit before he packed up his and the dog bits and headed
off to Peterborough.  Lovely weekend with him around Happy.

Wherenext thanks for the heads up on Southport site train situation, will be building that into our tour.

Hope everyone else enjoying their Sunday (day of rest Wink) weather hasn't been as good as forecast, but good enough and dry.  We didn't get much
rain yesterday either, luckily, as we were in and out quite a lot and lots of walking.

Wandered along to Arenales del Sol for a brunch - ham and cheese toasted bocadillo and a cerveza. Didn't seem such a bright idea after walking the 3km back in the hot sun. Thank goodness the aircon is working without dripping water everywhere now. Still
can't work out what my fiddling did to fix it.

A half day spent going for a pootle  on the bikes. Bit cooler today particularly as the sun seemed to be continually behind the trees lining the route. Still, all in all, another lovely day.

Tried some Saithe for tea. Delicious

ps. The smelly cheese was great for lunch as it had softened nicely in the sun.

Decided go have a bit if a clear out this weekend which developed into a massive clear out as it so often does! Now feeling very satisfied . We loaded the car with a redundant china cabinet, most of it's contents, lots of other china and glassware plus books
and cds and set off to our local Sue Ryder shop but unfortunately they couldn't take any donations today because of shortage of staff. It is all still in the back of the car and we will try again tomorrow

I remember once doing the Dine Around thing at the York food festival.......starter, main and pudding at three different restaurants. It was different and fun......

We've just got up to a bit of a grey start to the morning but at least it's not raining. I find I can sleep a lot better with this cooler weather.

Chipping Sodbury Caravans said they would contact me once they've got the necessary part to fix the air-conditioner but not heard anything yet.

Hope you get sorted out next time, Malcolm.

If nothing else, you get another break away in Chipping Sodbury Laughing

Drove home from Dumfries & Galloway today from our shortest trip of the year, 18 days. The 180 mls back is a lot more than we normally do in a single trip. It was a lovely fine sunny morning with very little cloud, but when we got to Gretna we ran into a
thick sea fret from The Solway, which  fortunately cleared before Carlisle. Van cleared out and OH managed to get all the washing done and dried as it was a fine afternoon here at home. I then had time after dinner to wash the car before it started to get
damp outside. All in all a good day all round

It's now 8 a.m. and I've  got up to a lovely sunny morning. I've made a pot of tea which is now brewed, so I'm having my first cup of tea as I type this. The oven is on and warming up for a breakfast of chocolate croissants. It will take about 5 minutes
once the oven is pre-heated. They taste much better hot with a little bit of melted butter inside.

Write your comments here...Not today! This is a special treat. Usually we have cereal for breakfast. Anyhow, they're now in the oven and will be ready in five minutes. The smell of them cooking has now woken my wife up just in time for breakfast!

I am just jealous Malc, I wish that I could eat that sort of thing without gaining weight or without my blood sugar and cholesterol readings being affected!   Laughing

Write your comments here...Surely you can eat things like that occasionally without it affecting your readings too much.

The dietician told me that any food and drink is acceptable in moderation and with portion control. The only thing that they forbid altogether is smoking. Fortunately I don't smoke!

Tell me to mind my own business if you like Malc, but why did you see a dietician?  Just interested! Smile

Arrived home at lunchtime after a great few days at Stamford, lovely and sunny again. Had to go to work this afternoon,  left Hubby emptying the van.
