Raining at Ayr, we have visited castles, houses, and had many walks during our stay and managed a walk into the town today during a brief respite.
All I can do now is observe others on the site through our rainy window
Hi Dave, I don’t know if you have been yet but just a few miles south of Ayr is a lovely fishing village called Dunure. It is very picturesque with castle ruins and some cottages have been converted into an Inn and a cafe that allows dogs. Enjoy.

We've had a mostly dry day foggy on high ground and clear on the cost. Went to Port Issac loads of people there then onto Boscastle fog was horrendous 20mph max speed enjoyed the day just a pity the weather was rubbish. 17c

Thank you 'nevers', we visited Culzean castle a few days back and drove past Dunure Tomorrow is supposedly a nice sunny day and we have
a coastal walk planned, guess what we plan to take in Dunure and its castle ruins. Good to know there's a pit stop that will allow Cassie also0 -
It has been unfeasibly hot here in N France today......really too hot.
After lunch we had a walk around the site, had a play on the swings and a look at the pool (wish I'd brought my cossy!)
Spent the rest of the day trying to find some shade.
Duty free bonios......mmmm must have a look for some tomorrow

We can just imagine you in your three-quarter length shorts Ian.

Wish I hadnt watched that game now good job I had that beer chilling.
We drove to Manchester for the Champions League game v BMG. Called off, quite rightly, 20 mins before KO, torrential rain. Rescheduled for tomorrow night, hopefully it will have stopped raining. But in Manchester, you never know.
Francis, we've tickets for the Celtic v City game, should be good.

Lovely sunny day, drove across to Bridlington, had a walk from North beach to South beach. Stopped on the way for fish and chips (well you have to) back at North beach had sit on the sands for an hour, then went up the coast to Flamborough head, had a nice
ice cream there. All in all a pleasant day out, just what the doctor ordered. Hope everyone else was enjoying the good weather.0 -

Another very hot day at Ferry Meadows ,they still have security on access because the "traveller people?"are still sniffing round looking for somewhere to spoil
On a lighter note Dometic sevice agent has been to site and fridges on 3 vans now seem to now be ok
Couple opposite took awning down we then spent 10 mins picking up baby toads that hopped out from under mud wall!!

A foggy day here in N.Aberdeenshire. OH and I are 'celebrating' our 43rd Aniversary in the traditional way by butchering a pig which should be delivered from the abattoir shortly...
I jest not. We help to raise traditional breed pigs for pork. This year we had Berkshire boars. Very good natured beasts, born and raised outside on pasture, and given as good a life as possible.
Last year we raised 'Oxford Sandy & Black' sows. Obnoxious beasts - wouldn't have them again. I do have a soft spot for 'British Saddlebacks'.

Fine morning when we got up. Backed van out and packed up before setting off about 9:20. Pleasant drive up to Lochmaben, arriving before noon. 'Twas ok as earliest arrival time is 11:00.
Sunny warm afternoon but did have a short sharp shower about 4:00. Now sat watching the rabbits having fun running round the CL grounds.0 -
We've certainly struck lucky with the weather so far on this trip to deepest rural Somerset. This morning we walked from a village called Combe St Nicholas near Chard with the most fantastic views over the local countryside. This afternoon's been a mixture
of reading and dozing sat out in glorious warm sunshine. This CL (Forton House) is great, peace and quiet and we've got the entire grass area to ourselves. Magic!0 -
VERY hot again at Oare Creek boatyard, ongoing maintenance etc.slight breeze,a couple of pints weather !! Just booked a long week-end in Lincolnshire
at the Willow Cottage for 23/24/25/26,Getaway time again !! ..0 -
Back home again after our 2 week trip, had a lovely drive up the East coast from York. Although there were roadworks there were no holdups. Coming over the Forth road bridge the sight was fantastic, the estuary was covered in fog the bridges looked as if
they were floating on top of the fog, the sun was shining on the towers and the new bridge (nealy finished) looked fantastic. Why do you never have a camera to hand when you need one. We've had a great break and the weather has been very kind to us, now to get the washing done and the garden tidied up.
