Not hot hot here! Wink In fact before collecting some building blocks at a builder's merchants on the coast we took a look at the churning sea
and wondered where the sun had gone....it's just appearing now. Smile

Caravan now at home, ready to get away on Thursday,  just hoping the dry weather lasts until then. I

Where are you off to this time, Helen?

Write your comments here...I'm dreading it, H&T. With no aircon, there's no way to get comfortable. There was no breeze today, which didn't help!

A dull day today (Monday) in Cornwall, but still managed to visit the Lizard and Land's End.  Just Tuesday left now - back home on Wednesday.  No plans yet for tomorrow - we'll start by looking at the weather!  Laughing

The trip seems to have stressed you, David. What's with the insomnia?

Hope you have a good day at Bridlington, we went back a few years ago, it was where I lways went on holiday as a child (we lived in York) it hadn't changed that much.

The trouble with farming later in the year is that the days are getting shorter, and working till dark takes on a differnt meaning. But we have very bright lights on the tractor, so can carry on picking up grass after the sun has set -

Well, after last night's overnight stay at BHF (where they seem to have extended the ferry pitches into the next field) we popped down the road and onto the train under the Channel.

We booked the 9:50am (after originally thinking we'd drive down in the morning) but we were offered the 8:50am so we took it.

Slight delay in arriving due to a 'problem' (a wandering migrant, maybe?) and a short drive to our stop at Bien Assize.

We've decided on short driving distances and no rushing for this holiday.

This site is about 20% full I'd guess and our full serviced pitch is about £16/night and is massive! Not a sound but the gentle rustling of the delightful planting between pitches.

Just had a nice pasta lunch and now sitting back with a chilled white wine in the sun.

    Lovely! Laughing

Oh, and if I insulted anyone in last night's lively discussion......sorry!

(But I'm sure you deserved it! Wink)

All go here. Despite the forecast of record temperatures Down South the outlook up here is not so good. It's warm - but heavy showers are forecast later today. But the forecasts keep changing the timings. We are trying to mow, row up, chop and cart the rest of our grass before it happens. It makes for a very tense husband and son. I keep out of the way - just have copious boxes of food ready for whenever needed. I think I'll have to do some more baking this afternoon.

And at the back of my mind are unformed ideas of when and where we can get away in the caravan. Maybe in a couple of weeks?

And for those who wonder why some people use Facebook - I do (and Twitter) - and one of the reasons is to follow various bands and venues. This morning there was an update from Oysterband - and within 2 minutes I had booked front row seats at our local Arts Centre,

Raining at Ayr, we have visited castles, houses, and had many walks during our stay and managed a walk into the town today during a brief respite.

All I can do now is observe others on the site through our rainy window Laughing

Shouldn't have mentioned the word "lovely day" this morning as we've had thunder and lightening rolling around since then and heavy rain. Have booked the musical "All Or Nothing" which is on tour. But
OH is a bit miffed as he likes to think of himself as a biker..Laughing

First rain on our holiday (now a fortnight). A mild thunderstorm and the odd shower made for a relaxing day. Went to the local market this morning. The produce on show was not a healthy one, well not for my wallet. Off tomorrow as we head further south towards
Carcassonne. Mixed weather forecast for a couple of days and then a realignment down to mid 20's.

Enjoy whatever your time allocates you.
