Cleaned the van inside and out this morning ready for our trip to Cromer later in the week. Very grey and overcast here but luckily no rain so got the job done.
There's another van here waiting to be done on the outside, Millie. We're off to Cornwall on Friday in the van, to take Anna to start at Falmouth University so I guess it won't be cleaned now until we get back

Finished painting one side of the fence this afternoon, just a couple of panels to do on the other side now and I need to move the caravan to do that, so it can wait till another day.
Good job I wore an old tee shirt - it's well and truly splattered......and my gardening shoes are covered in green splodges

Thanks Millie. She's looking forward to it but I think is pretty apprehensive about having to look after herself and organising money etc. We shall see, but hopefully she'll get to grips with it all.

I am sure she will David. I think it is so good for them to go away and learn to be independent.

Hope you have a lovely trip Millie, we really enjoyed the area back in the summer. We are hoping to get another Norfolk trip later this month, although it will only have to be a long weekend.

I'am sure your daughter will be fine, I was apprehensive when our youngest son went off to uni, but he was fine.
Will she be in halls for the first year?

Had a lovely day with our youngest son yesterday, it was good to catch up with his news.
Work was really busy, late home again, may need a glass of wine,

A morning of paperwork (and making dinner for 5), then cake making this afternnoon, and then a sit down to watch (on television) the Tour of Britain from the start of The Struggle to the finish in Kendal.
I tried to work out a plan to get into town for the finish, but too few hours in the day.
Supper in the oven - work done for the day.

Had a lovely day with 8 year old grandson and 6 year old grand-daughter. Played some board games this morning and then went to see the BFG film this afternoon. Great film. Eldest grand-daughter's graduation tomorrow. Really looking forward to it. #proudgranny

Where you getting to this time, NTH?
Not too far from the NW I hope as new car due soon. Any news?
We think we're going up to Penrith first and then into Dumfries and Galloway. If the weather holds we thought of going as far as the club's New England Bay site. We've never done the Stranraer peninsular. Not so good about motor, the delivery date is going
backwards. There's not much time to play with now between latest expected delivery date and the time we really need the car.Beautiful area to explore Nellie, hope you make it to New England Bay, wonderful site.

Very well, thank you.
The secret seems to be to get loads of crusher-run stone under it.......helps drainage and provides support for the caravan.
Not had any problems at all getting the caravan in and out and this is its second season.

There'll be plenty in the same boat as her David, and lots at Uni who will be able to help her, having been the same in previous years. Best of luck to her.

Surprisingly we couldn't get onto either of 2 CLs at Penrith as they are both full for the days we want next week. So have delayed our departure and extend our stays at each of the CLs in Dumfries. Still NEB to book, but should have no problem getting on
there, I think.0 -
slipping down to the south Devon coast to meet up with pals we met in Spain a couple of winters ago....a nice lunch beckons and a bit of nice weather would be great....forecast not too bad it seems....

Today was the day that I dread most of all each year......conservatory cleaning day
There just isn't an easy way to do it.......
Did mine a couple of days ago. Next morning the roof was covered with a fresh lot of detritus from the tree across the road.
