Left Montecatini Terme today and are doing a 'one nighter' at Gran Bosco near the Frejus Tunnel.  Toilets are immaculate but the site itself is pretty untidy and aweful.  Just here for one night and I can safely say, we will be gone before 9am tomorrow.
Pitches unmarked and everyone squeezed in.  Why am I here?  The first bad site in ages.

Flew up to Carlisle today. It's been hot and sunny, but a little cooler up there. A big airfield, owned by Eddie Stobart's organisation. Had a cup of tea in the cafe there.

We intended to fly back over the Lakes. Across to Bassenthwaite, then south to Keswick, but it was really turbulant in the valley there, so we turned east towards Penrith. There we got into wave and climbed to 6000ft with the engine on tickover.

We then headed back south to York.......a grand day out!  Laughing

At least the footballhas stopped.  Que disco music.  It's all very 'ketchup song' but good fun and folk seem to be enjoying it.   Currently playing: YMCA.  Laughing

Beautiful and sunny for our last day at Ross. Drove over to the Forest of Dean again. Went for a 5km walk before a picnic lunch. Then I set off for 1.25 hr bike ride around the Family cycle trail and extras. Then we had another mile walk before getting back
to the van. Washing machine came out and we wash all my cycling gear and other bits and got them dry before dinner.

Finally the g/kids have succumbed to a very full and energetic day and MOH and I can crawl into bed, utterly exhausted.

Thankfully we can hand them back tomorrow!

We've got up to a rather grey start to the morning this morning. I think it must have rained in the night because the windows are all wet. I looked at the forecast and it says the weather will improve by this afternoon.

The front and sides of our awning are down so we get plenty of cool breeze in there at the moment. It was absolutely manic at work yesterday, so we didn't get much time to sit out in it.

We'll be taking the rest of the awning down this morning in preparation for our two days away.

Day started fine and sunny, but at about 10.30 the wind picked up, so I have had to tie  my scaffold tower to the balcony railings to placate OH as she was worried it could blow over onto the caravan.

The wind is gusting strongly, so I will be giving the scaffold and the ladder a miss today, plus now rain is threatening.

Off to the garage to potter.

Very windy day today, nice and bright this morning so we managed to get more work done outside in the garden.  The rain set in after lunch so it was up into the attic room to start the major chuck out, 2 trips to the skip so far this afternoon and we haven't
even finished one side yet Frown its good to get all the junk cleared out. Lots of stuff to go to the charity shops and a few items to sell on.
Rain has stopped now and the wind is easing a little, the sun is even making a come backWink

We must have been exceptionally lucky this year. We have seen nothing but fine weather, wherever in the UK we've been, since early May.

Today has been fine, very warm and sunny....again. I just wish it would cool down a bit at night.

Busy afternoon helping out at an open gardens day,  raised over £90 on the gate for local funds so worth the effort. The weather was kind to us, looks like some good weather ahead this week. Sounded a bit windy up in the Cairngorms today, did I hear 115
mph, I remember what it was like living up there!

Tongue Out some folk just love to crow
Wink looking out the window, I can see blue sky with white clouds, trees still blowing a fair bit but not as wild as earlier today.
