We've just had a nice lunch of sweet and sour chicken in batter cooked in the caravan oven, with mushroom, egg and vegetable fried rice.  This was followed by a cup of tea.

Still working on the Windows, 3 dodgy ones repaired, only one upstairs set left to check.

New son-in-law came up yesterday morning and helped me to erect scaffold tower, so am now allowed to go up and check front upstairs windows and eaves.

First window OK so will paint it today and also do all the downstairs ones, then need to move scaffold to last window.

After that it needs to be dismantled and re-erected on the drive to do the balcony, then moved up onto the balcony.........

    Going to take a while!

DD came up last night to collect her budgies, so very quiet here now.  Just the mess they left to clear up.

I followed a recipe for lentil pate religiously. It was awful. So I started again and winged it. Much better!

Just made some scones as per National Trust recipe. Absolutely brilliant. Just as good as those bought in their shop with your coffee/tea

Write your comments here...Well I'm hoping I'll be able to get to see the firework display that they are doing on the Worthing pier at 10 o'clock tonight and if I'm lucky, I might get time to see the classic car display at Steyne Gardens tomorrow. There's
also a funfair going on at the sea front. So plenty of entertainment for you if you want to visit this area!

"Trying to work out what's the problem with the air-conditioner. It's been leaking water from underneath and a red light has come on. It could be that the external drain might be blocked on the bit above the roof. Luckily, it's cool enough this morning to
manage without it, with the windows open, of course!"

Malcolm a/c units that are used for lengthy periods of time tend to ice up - particularly if they get uninterrupted fresh air from outside. Hence the leaking of water. The unit needs to be switched off for a few hours so it can de-ice (watch out for more
    water!)

Good luck hope it works OK tomorrow. At least it is not too hot down here today.

Write your comments here...Thanks redface, Hopefully it will work tomorrow.

Try leaving it off for a couple of months, Malcolm.....Wink

Just saw a spectacular firework display on Worthing pier on driving back along the sea front after a delivery in Lancing. It started just as we were coming into Worthing.

We've just finished breakfast. Lovely sunny morning here in Worthing and the weather forecast says fair weather all day today. So there should be a good turnout at the classic car show in Steyne Gardens today.

Out to lunch yesterday with daughter and her husband, Italian place in town, bit disappointing, just as well we were using Tesco vouchers.

Food was OK, but several items on the menu were unavailable, and on some dishes the portions were rather stingy for the price charged.  OH had a pasta dish that contained chicken and mushrooms, sauce was good she said, but very little chicken in it.

Don't think we will be visiting again.

Today we are invited to a BBQ at the in-laws, hopefully the rain will stay away.

Started painting the fence.....my goodness, what a lot of wood!

Got fed up of that, so changed the rear light fitting on the caravan (our nearside one was smashed when we got home from our last trip - I have no idea how that happened). Sad

Anyway, £65 the lighter but it all seems to be working fine.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend away at The Ranch CC site. The weather was excellent most of the weekend. Yesterday we took a drive down the coast to Port Patrick which is a lovely little fishing village I would recommend anyone in the area to
vistit it really is a great little place and there are a couple of good pubs where you can get a drink and a decent meal. The sun was shining this morning so we didn't leave the site until 2pm so we had a nice relaxing morning. Home now and SWMBO is cooking
us a nice steak pie for Sunday dinner

It's nice and cool here in Worthing this morning which is just as well because the air-conditioner is still on the blink! Luckily it's cool enough not to need it. The sky is grey and overcast and we have just finished our breakfast plus two cups of tea and
now I'm sitting in the relaxer in the awning.

The pitch next door to us is hard-standing and vacant at the moment. It's surprising to see vacant pitches at this time of year. I would have thought that being school holidays and peak season, the site would be full.

I would say you probably have "gunk" in the outlets.  Maybe a mobile engineer person could advise on how to clean them out?

Or maybe something on U Tube?

Don't beleive it. It's been photoshopped. I've got the same shot in monochrome. Tongue Out

Cut the grass this morning (after feeding a garden full of ducks - made all the more tricky by having to feed Henry and her family separately from the rabble).

Then decided to tackle cleaning out the front gutters.......followed by cleaning the fascias.......followed by cleaning the windows using my long pole. My arms ache now Sad
