    Notable events.

1 wife's motability scooter acted up

2 slow puncture requiring a visit to Kwik fit they said it was opposite Peterborough football ground sat have it took me to 3 football grounds!

    3 son had a haircut!

4 hot hot weather wife couldn't cope like me excuse for soft drinks and ice cream!

5 went to hargill house Richmond site motor mover wouldn't work properly as one motor wouldn't engage with a tyre. Not drastic on a flat site but on a hill! Nice site though!

Did the history bit yesterday going round Caernarvon castle. Sitting here in wind and rain at the moment although it's supposed to brighten up later when hopefully I will be able to take down the awning in the dry in preparation for our trundle down Wales to Pembrokeshire tomorrow. The CL we are going to has free wifi so hopefully I will be able to catch up with CT when it all comes back to life after the weekend.

Trying to work out what's the problem with the air-conditioner. It's been leaking water from underneath and a red light has come on. It could be that the external drain might be blocked on the bit above the roof. Luckily, it's cool enough this morning to manage without it, with the windows open, of course!

We've visitors again this weekend (and not self invited this time!), so I'm starting the cleaning  early (need to do bedrooms this time). We have a very large pantry (about 17 x 14 feet) and it's a bit of a dumping ground - as well as what some people might
call kitchen stuff. The cooker (Aga) is in another large room we call the kitchen - but that's the only kitchen equipment in it.

So today I'm being as ruthless as I can be. And putting things away! The centre island is a 7 x 4 feet granite slab and not very visible at the moment.

    And menu planning.

Malcolm a/c units that are used for lengthy periods of time tend to ice up - particularly if they get uninterrupted fresh air from outside. Hence the leaking of water. The unit needs to be switched off for a few hours so it can de-ice (watch out for more
    water!)

Good luck hope it works OK tomorrow. At least it is not too hot down here today.

Arrived in Montecatini Terme, Italy yesterday.  Pitches are quite small here but we have one that is reasonable.  Each pitch has its own toilet, wash and shower room with two outside covered sinks - one for washing up, one for clothes washing - all
    facilities are kept really well.

Just trying to get to grips with Italian road signs and their inconsistencies.  We've eventually found the Co-OP supermarket.  Carol and Anna have gone in to shop whilst I and in the car with the dog.  No doubt Anna will arrive back in a minute expecting
me to go in to pay for the trolly load.   It's  waaaaarm!

Morning broke nice today but its turned to rain now so indoors with gkids. Youngest girl 7 years is crafting, that means lots of paper glitter and glue strewn all over the floor, with cries of what shall i make granny every to 2  minsFrown boy 8 years is on playstation playing a Lego Star Wars game, haven't a clue what its about but its kind of keeping him quiet. OH taken DIL's car to get 4 new tyres as they are below limit, when he pointed it out to her she shrugged shoulders saying "there fine" OH fizzing as he took off with carYell he gets really angry with them as they never look after things. Will be glad to get back up the road at the weekend, don't think we are cut out for looking after kids again, it was hard enough first time aroundFrown

Well there was a Sheffield girl in the cafe.

But the wife hasn't been called a girl for a few years.

We pre purchased the Swiss half price travel cards, works out miles cheaper. it was less than £80 each from Interlaken and daughter went for free. Even the restuarant prices wern't too bad.

Cruise on Lake Thun tomorrow and Shilthorn on Saturday

That's Bergen for you. Apochryphal story. US tourist, commenting on the weather enquires "does it never stop raining here?" A small local child responds "I don't know. I'm only six".

anyone going to the 66W celebrations at Wembley tomorrow?

OH (bless her) has won some tickets to the Gala Black Tie Dinner in the evening, so up on the train in the morning.

Rubbing shoulders with the remaining stars of the team, a bunch of hanging on 'celebrities' and being 'entertained' by Lulu (apparently) no lessHappy

staying in the Royal Garden Hotel Kensington, the same one that the team 'showed off' the cup after the final.

    actually, should be fun...
