A red hot day in Brighton......too hot at times!
We walked into Brighton and watched some of the live entertainment in the bars on the sea front.
Had a wander into town and finally, overcome by heat, walked back to the caravan and sat in the shade.
Moving on to Kent tomorrow.

Where are you thinking of visiting Ian?, it's warm in Kent too
Well, your shop, obviously
But we like Canterbury and will also spend a day doing some of the coastal towns, including Whitstable.
...If you do Canterbury use the bus (if nearby stop) or park&ride, Margate a bit "iffy" ,Whistable is okish some quirky shops

Where ever you visit ,enjoy our county ,too many people see Kent as the gateway to Europe and don't stop to see what we can offer
you must try some of the Whitstable oysters
Tenterden has a nice steam railway ,if that's your sort of thing ........

Thankfully, a much better day today ( thanks CY for the boot up the proverbial! Got that weather sorted now!)
But, boy am I in trouble with Mrs M. Suggested what looked like a nice walk ( book suggested 3 hours) but due to a slight cock up on the navigation front it turned into 5 hours, much of which was presumably like it must have been for the GIs trudging through the Mekong delta back in time! Anyway, eventually found our way down the hill, much lifting of dogs over stiles, and down to near Dulas beach - close enough for me to suggest we were exactly in the right place! Didn't go down awfully well.
Fortunately, now back on site, showered and bottle of sparkly stuff open to go with supper. I think I'm kind of forgiven, but haven't had the nerve to say what the plan for tomorrow is yet!
We have done a few walks like that too, . If tou get chance Moulesy visit "The Dingle" nature reserve, at Llangefni nice walks and you may be lucky and see the red squirrels. Car park and entrance is almost opposite Asda.
Sounds good, Helen, & just down the road from us. But do they allow dogs on the walks?
Yes, may have to keep them on leads though.

We've been to Kent many times and agree that it is a very attractive corner of the country.
JVB - we are a bit off the beaten track for buses this time, but have always found parking easy enough in Canterbury.
Agree about Margate. Despite the recent art gallery and attempts to make it more 'up market' I'm not at all sure they've succeeded yet.

Went up Mt Ventoux today. Got further than the Tour De France race - but the we took the car up. A little cooler at the top, but very little wind now. Moving on to Frejus tomorrow.

...How is the van going,do you have the tall fridge and if so is it gettig over cold?

Thanks all. Couldn't get anywhere near Tom's memorial this time Ian. So many cyclists about - very, very busy. We went up the south side, from Bedoin, but couldn't get parked at the top. We went on down the north side and managed to park a little way
down. Carol and Anna managed to walk back up to the top, but alas, it was too much for me!All is well Brue, as is the fridge and the van JVB66. We have the tall fridge and haven't found it a problem getting too cold. We take a seperate 'chest type' fridge for the awning too - mainly for drinks.
It's been quite windy here at Aubignan - the Mistral has been doing its bit

What a lovely day for tugging! Just done 140 miles from market harborough (sorry about no caps.) Road was dry, weather overcast with occasional sunny breaks, warm and very little commercial traffic. Even the cars were well spaced out and no hold ups.
Cruised the Elizabeth Bridge (dartford Crossing) at 50mph all the way. Never had such a good journey. Long may they continue.0 -

Glad you enjoyed East Anglia Helen. Don't tell everyone Very warm here this morning as well. Off to church so should be cooler in
there. Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts everyone.0 -
It's much cooler today here than yesterday. Plenty of cloud cover, sun and sky obscured. Nice cool breeze. Tonight is our last night here in the tent before returning to our seasonal pitch at Northbrook Farm.
We have pitched our tent right next to the cricket pitch, Findon Cricket Club and so was able to sit out in our relaxers and watch the cricket yesterday afternoon, in between deliveries. The sun was out yesterday though, so it was a little too hot!
On the opposite side of the tent we have a view of the hills, plenty of walking countryside around here with footpaths all around the site, being in the South Downs National Park. There are deer and plenty of rabbits to be seen here plus birds of prey circling
over the hills.0 -

The alarm went off at 05:00 for my husband to get up and milk. I had a lie in till 06:15.
It's all go with another batch of silaging. We did about 75 acres last week, then held off mowing anymore till the weather settled. We mowed about another 50 acres yesterday and now my husband is "rowing up" ahead of our son; picking up and chopping the
grass with a forage wagon. He drives to the silage pit, uloads and goes for more. Meanwhile our farm worker is buckraking the grass in the pit.I was at our local supermarket (the wonderful Booths) when it opened. A quiet seven mile drive; I only saw one car and one cyclist on the way, with three times as many on the way back!
I have to get on now and make up lunch boxes, instead of idling on here.
