Four loads of washing done and dried thank goodness. Caravan now cleaned and tidied. Car cleaned (although I cheated and took it to our local hand car wash when I went to our local garden centre to get some bird food). Mr H has made a good start on the garden.
At this rate we might be ready to go away again in 4 weeks time. We will be going to Houghton Mill, one of our favourite sites. The car should know it's way there by it's self, shouldn't it?

Do you mean to the car wash or Houghton Mill nellie? Or maybe both
Houghton Mill. I know that it's a favourite of yours. Millie.

It certainly is nellie. Lovely position next to the river with lots of lovely walks in the area
Its a very relaxing place.0 -
Not a bad day here, some sun, some cloud, quite warm, and no rain for a change.
Went with OH to meet painter at Guide Hall, hand over all the materials. He will have got quite a bit done as it was ideal painting weather.
After lunch I made a start on our windows, they all need painted on the outside. One we had noticed seemed a bit dodgy, and indeed it was.......rotten the whole way along the bottom edge. Major repair now under way......that will hold up the painting.

Went to Worthing this morning......felt like 'coming home' seeing all those familiar names - Fiordelatte, KFC, MacDonalds....didn't spot Burger Mee though.
Went to Shoreham Airport (now known as Brighton City Airport) in the afternoon for the delightful Art Deco terminal building and lovely cafe / restaurant.
Write your comments here...Did you walk down the shopping arcade, Ian, past Macdonalds, past an HMV shop along Liverpool Road at the end of which joins Chapel Road and opposite Barclays Bank? There's a loading bay there where I'm parked at this very moment
as I type. Diagonally opposite Barclays Bank is Lloyds Bank and opposite that is the Chapel House Business Centre. The Dinnertogo office is on the second floor there. Next to there around the corner, there's a shop called Chapel News, Capital Vapes which is
an off licence that sells e cigarettes. We do deliveries for them too that include alcohol as well as e cigs as far out as Littlehampton and Ferring.0 -

Just caught up with things on here, wifi not good in deepest Norfolk, in the pub so connected
Bakers2, have a safe trip and a fantastic time in NZ. Also good to hear all holidays going well.
We had a late walk through the village yesterday, came back with pots of homemade jams and pickles, also a plant, all for sale outside the houses in the village.
Visited Cromer today, even had a cup of tea on the pier, the forecast rain never came, warm and sunny, so spent the afternoon walking the
coast path taking in Cley Marshes, spotted lots of waders so enjoyed trying to name them all.Write your comments here...
Glad you went to Cromer Helen. I spent many happy holidays there when in my teens.
If you go again have a coffee in the Jetty Cafe. It used to be a coffee bar where I spent a lot of time. It was the Jetty Coffee
Bar in years gone by. The layout is much the same much sadly the juke box is no longer there. We shall be in the area in September. Glad
you are having a good holiday....The bar in the end of pier theatre is good ,and especially the notice "we do not have wifi you need to talk or look at the scenery"

Can't remember Malcolm.....sorry. We just wandered around the town and along the sea front.
Write your comments here...Did you go on the pier, Ian? There's a restaurant at the North end, an amusement arcade in the middle and another bar/restaurant at the southern end. You can also see fisherman fishing when the tide's in. There's also an icecream kiosk on the promenade by the northern end of the pier. I rather liked the rum and raisin icecream there.

Ah, preparing myself for a nice casual lunch, now that I've finally but, alas, only temporarily found where my E-mails are residing on this D******D, Baffling, B****y New Windows 10 which is pre-installed on this new desk-top that I just might have wasted my 1999 Christmas Bonus on !
Still at least its up & running muuuuuuuch quicker than the one piled up in the corner. Might end up wasting time on finding where things are and not posting on 'ere

It takes awhile to work out things on Windows 10, I think I've got there now, in fact I've forgotten what it was like without it!
I'm recovering this morning after a truly British night out watching Shakespeare in the open air, camping chairs, teeth chattering, drinks spilt, picnic crumbs and a loud cheer at the end. If the Sennen based Illyria company come your way they're good fun,
they'll be in Dorset again tonight at Kingston Lacy, heading east then the north and Culzean Castle by July 23rd.0 -
Just back from Ellesmere - what a lovely little town that is. We walked round the lakes and back along the Llangollen canal to the marina.
Fortunately all the stiles on the walk seem to have been replaced with kissing gates. We had a nerve-jangling moment at on of the stiles on the walk yesterday. Harry is quite agile at getting across stiles. He gets his front feet on the top bar, climbs up
almost ladder style and then jumps overs. Unfortunately he misjudged the drop on one particular stile yesterday, it must have been a good 6 feet and landed quite awkwardly head first. It could have been quite nasty but he picked himself up straight away and
carried on regardless. Seems not have suffered any after effects which is quite a relief!(Lady, being a lady, just stands and waits to be lifted over the stiles - nothing to strenuous for that one! )

After all the long walks we have done over the last week, we decided to let the train take the strain. We travelled on the Bure Valley Railway from Aylsham to Wroxham. We used the CC discount and the dogs are welcome too. Had a lovely lunch watching the
boats on the river, before travelling back in the afternoon. Back on the site now and the EE wifi seems to beworking, just.0 -
Sounds like a good day Helen. I love a ride on a heritage railway.
We didnt have quite the day we planned as our daughter rang first thing to ask if we could have 6 year old grand-daughter as she wasn't well so have spent the day looking after a poorly little girl with a dreadful cough.

Glad that Lady is living up to her name. Also pleased to hear that Harry has suffered no ill effects after leaping off a stile. That
must have been a nasty moment.0 -
We walked down to the sea front and along through Brighton to Hove Lagoon. Had a quick look at Fat Boy Slim's private beach, then back again.
Hard work, walking on hard paved surfaces.......
is there any thing special about this beach ?? ,just asking

Spent the day trying to stop Mrs.WN from becoming too frantic as we packed the van ready for the off tomorrow. Up to the north Lakes and stopping on a new CL to us. Looking forward to a bit of down time between the excercise.

Another order has just come through. This time it's a Turkish food order for Effes which is a new Turkish restaurant on Clifton Road. Recently, we have been getting quite a few orders from there.
It's not far from the town centre. You just turn left from Chapel Road on to Richmond road and then turn right into Clifton road on the second mini roundabout. You then come to a parade of shops at the end of the road and that's where Effes is. Parking is always difficult there though.
Sorry, I've posted this on the wrong thread by mistake. It's meant to be what I did at work today.

Ah...well when in our area....for our nearest chip shop you turn left, then right, then left and proceed eastwards to the crossroads and then right. Parking is easy, it's about three miles and when you get back the chips will be nearly cold....
