We've got up this morning to a rather grey and wet start to the day. I felt sorry for the couple opposite us in having to pack up and leave in the rain. However, they did very wisely take their awning down and packed it away in yesterday's dry conditions. After they had hitched up, the rear wheels of the car did a little spin before they moved off their grass pitch. A rather wet Sunday departure for those that are going home today.
Our car is booked in to have four new off road tyres fitted next Thursday. We're going to need them if these wet conditions continue.

Millie, glad you hada lovely holiday, always thinkNYorkshire is special.
We visited Southwold yesterday, what a nice little town. Did the Adnams shop of course. And visited the lighthouse, which looked very out of place between the houses. Even hada walk along the pier.
Enjoying a lazy morning, but are planning a visit to Snape later.

Kids stayed out overnight we got up and walked the dog . Had a text whilst out that they'd be back home before we go out to lunch at 2. We've been in an hour and a half heard no more and they've not arrived . Very warm here no sun very light shower
and a bit of wet with no rain at the mo. Catching up on here after stripping and remaking bed. Even got it dried outside smells nice.0 -
There are a few things that I'd like to do while down here, but it all depend on time available - order a pizza from Malcolm and debate finances with him, search all the pet shops in Kent to find one run by a siberian dog with a penchant for bonios and visit
a boatyard in Kent known as the docking station for Concord0 -
On Sundays we try not to do much. Of course cows have to be milked. Calvers and calves fed and bedded. Outside stock checked. And them especially if the weather is poor, the day's our own (well, from 10 till 3).
One of the things we do is read the Sunday Times - plenty of sections with something to interest both of us.
I've just been ready the Sunday Times Magazine, and there's an intersting arcticle about Gig Economy. Which is not about the precarious financial benefits of being in a band, but self employed workers used by firms such as Uber and Deleveroo. (Other delivery services etc are available),
If you are thinking of doing this sort of work, or are already doing it, try to get hold of a copy (page 13). Unfortunately the bulk of the online version is only available to subscribers (not me!) - but if you can click here.

Spent an extremely pleasant few hours in the company of NellieTheHooker and his charming wife last night. What a lovely couple.
Today we started to get things ready for our next break, later this week to the Lakes, so lots of small jobs done. Hope the weather improves.

Got part way thro' tidying & cleaning the Office Study { Spare bedroom } When the fone rang !! Technician from Currys/ P.C. World ringing to say my new computer is now all set up and ready for collection And this on a Sunday at mid morning
Little bit surprised at that but started grafting harder & harder -- anybody got a spare recycling wheelybin or three please ?!? { ** this all taking place, of course, during, in between and before certain sports programmes on T.V. ** }
The old machine is now definitely past its "expiry date" 'cos it took me Eight (8) mins to kick it into some semblance of life today but it owes me little, just hope the new one lasts as long { ?? should that be I hope I last as long ??} We shall see, we shall see ! Harwell, back to the backing up !!

Back home after an 'interesting' journey as the A1 was closed at Grantham. Luckily we heard about it in time to turn off at Newark. My dubious map reading skills were luckily up to the task and Mr H said it was a more interesting journeyas he was bored with the A1 after 3 and a half hours of it. Everything unpacked and 2 loads of washing done. The garden looks like a jungle

Miserable day today weather wise rained all day, now at 21.00 the rain has stopped and it looks nice, flipping typical. So with the weather being rubbish we did 3 baskets of ironing (OH does his stuff) in between the ironing I sorted out my wardrobes and
draws (yes again) then we have had a very lazy afternoon watching first Lewis Hamilton win at Silverstone and then Andy Murray win at Wimbeldon, good afternoon had by allGlad to hear you got home safely MH I know the feeling of a jungle I'm still trying to tame mine (think I'm slowly wining)
H&T you seem to be enjoying your holiday nice to hear all about your trips out.
Bakers2, its getting close now
